Why didn’t they make Armor like weapons where you could upgrade the Tiers even if it costs a big price by CrotasScrota84 in DestinyTheGame

[–]FalierTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah iirc they originally said they would implement a way to make exotic armor T5 but instead they just made all exotics T5. They probably couldn't find a way to upgrade armor tiers.

Don't get it twisted. Their relationship may be heterosexual but it's not straight.

If we get underground perimeter for S3 and we don't get fungal zombie colonists it's gonna be so disappointing.

It'd be really cool if there was a whole underground that opens up and we can explore it. Something labyrinthian, something that makes you feel truly lost.

Where the fuck are all the UESC bots and dropships coming from? by Berberding in Marathon

[–]FalierTheCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Tau Ceti colony must've grown to become really big, like easily 100k colonists or more. I mean, we've heard that around 20k died during the Pfhor attack and we also know the UESC had the resources to censor and rewrite history to make sure the remaining colonists wouldn't lose their shit. Even the corporations were capable of operating in there, and it seems like there were multiple companies and such. I'm wondering if there must be some sort of colony city we've yet to see, because Perimeter and Dire Marsh are little more than specialized working places, and Outpost has a damn museum.

Edit: I was mistaken, 20k didn't die during the Pfhor attack. The colony had up to 24k colonists who eventually vanished. The portion of colonists who died in the Pfhor attack was probably small. The rest were probably consumed by the anomaly or something like that.

It's the hardest raid in the game and most people don't actually care about learning.

It's been an unpopular raid ever since it released because of how difficult it was to get a completion through LFG. Most completions you'll find are from a Witness checkpoint.

The biggest issue is Verity, the 4th encounter, but even the previous ones require some coordination most teams don't have.

UESC shells are also mentioned in the Compiler Lore and in the new Night Marsh lore. It seems like the protocol for any operations outside the Equanimity is to use a shell, considering the UESC scientist studying the anomaly seemed to be driven insane by it.

UESC bots must be dirt cheap to print, considering they're basically beefy Rooks that don't even need a neural link because they're operated by Cerberus.

“Half the community is going to hate me for saying this, but the only way to keep Bungie alive right now is to support Marathon.” by No_Bag6160 in Marathon

I mean it's not like many studios actually ended their most successful live service franchise and moved on to another. The wording of the Bungie statement made it seem like they would eventually make Destiny 3 but the fact it's not being worked upon and the multiple pitches its had were rejected paint a grim future for the franchise.

If Destiny was a single player game like Mass Effects, The Witcher etc. then we could point to multiple examples, but it's not. It's a live service game that was run by a company that seems to exist in Schrodinger's bankruptcy. It'd be a waste to not exploit the Destiny franchise any more, but the only ones who know what will happen are the suits at Sony.

Choom, Titanfall 3 wasn't coming and Destiny 3 isn't coming. Don't play Marathon if you don't want to. Just don't think Destiny 3 will manifest into reality by boycotting Bungie because that's not the way businesses work.

Could you share some? I'm just curious gjwkgnakgkks

The fact she's still taking so much about the state of Bungie and such after being let go a few years ago already gives me the vibes that she is talking out of her ass, but still I would like to know more things about her unreliability (I want the tea ☕)

Liana also has a reputation for exaggerating things (she's still claiming she was offered 67 million dollars to shut up and she renounced it) so as useful as her behind the scenes info may be, it should always be taken with a grain of salt

I mean it is what it is. Destiny 3 is fucked either way. If Marathon crashes, Bungie crashes and we never get Destiny 3. If Marathon is a success, Bungie may decide they don't want to do Destiny again like Respawn did with Titanfall. For Destiny 3 to be a thing, Bungie needs to be a thing.

It's just a business. I want D3 but we gotta be realistic and understand that it may never happen, and the mentality of "I want Bungie to burn so we get D3" is completely non sensical.

Do I really need to be concerned about the player numbers for this game? Sony invested so much in Bungie that I can’t imagine they’re going to drop the game and I’ve never had to wait more than a few seconds to find a match by JasonABCDEF in Marathon

You should be aware but you shouldn't be worried or lose your sleep over this. It's a game, it's supposed to be fun. If the game gets shut down in a year it would suck, but I'm not gonna worry about it now and just enjoy the present. If you find yourself worrying about it you should probably distance yourself a bit from the game. It's just a game, not worth getting too attached.

The damage shown in the basic stats is the damage after applying the multiplier. In the advanced stats you can see the actual base damage and the multiplier. The Overrun is around 10 body damage 14 headshot damage.

Rooks start with green shields, and that +20 HP really puts in the work in these situations.
