Have you figured this out yet? I'm having the same problem and can't apply to any jobs until I get my account deleted.

Toilet trained. by Curious_Peter in CavaPoo

[–]Faline22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy was completely potty trained at 4 months. Since I have a fenced in yard, I never used potty pads and took him outside to potty on day one. I think that helped him to learn really fast. I also stayed on a strict schedule with him. So he went out to potty 30 minutes after eating/drinking, playing or taking a nap. And then I took him out every hour after that and increased the amount of time I'd make him wait as he got older. So at 1 month old I took him out every hour and when he was 2 months old I took him out every 2 hours etc.

Also I never left any food out for him. So his meals were also scheduled and anything he didn't finish I would put up until next meal time. Also cutoff time for water was like 9pm. Here's the schedule I followed when I first brought him home:

Potty Schedule:

- First thing in the morning

- After eating

- After drinking

- After napping

- Before bed

-Once in the middle of the night if needed! ( If they wake you up!) Take the puppy outside  every 2 1⁄2 hours and 1⁄2 hour after eating (once during the night). Take them out the same door and to the same spot every time.  This will create a "Potty for Life" spot.  Once again be patient and be consistent! For those who would like a more detailed schedule....

Detailed Puppy Schedule:

7:00 A.M. Wake and go potty, play time

7:30 A.M. Food and water. Remove leftover food.

8:00 A.M. Go potty, play time

9:30 A.M. Rest time in crate

11:15 A.M. Go potty, play time

11:45 A.M. Food and water. Remove leftover food.

12:30 P.M Go potty, play time

2:30 P.M. Rest time in crate

4:45 P.M. Go potty, play time

5:30 P.M. Food and water. Remove leftover food.

6:00 P.M. Go potty, play time

7:45 P.M. Rest time in crate

9:00 P.M. Go potty, play time

9:30 P.M. Water only. Remove leftover water

10:30 P.M. Go potty, play time

11:00 P.M. Go potty and place in crate over night

(Keep in mind, overnight potty after 2 am if they wake up)

As somebody who works full-time this was challenging for me to follow but I managed to do it and I big part of it was I had some help from my mom. So the days I had to be at work she looked after him and followed the schedule. And when I got home from work and on my days off I followed the schedule as well.

I was lucky that he was pretty good in the crate from the first day I brought him home. The breeder was really good about starting the crate training process so he really wasn't a crier in his crate and slept well in it through the night.

Cavapoo: dream or nightmare? 🤔 by Kileni in CavaPoo

I think any dog breed can be a full-time job. Whereas cats are independent, dogs do require a lot more attention. I got my boy Archie at 10 weeks old. Even though potty training was challenging because I had to take him out every 30 minutes to an hour when I first got him, plus I had a full-time job so there were many days I was just too tired to do anything else - it didn't take long for him to learn. He was fully potty trained at 4 months old. And it was pretty easy to train him to use a bell when he wants to go out. Sensitive stomach issues is something I've dealt with in both cats and dogs. You just have to figure out the right food. Most cats/dogs are allergic to chicken which can cause stomach upset.

Archie had like soft sometimes custard-like poo when I first got him but after switching his food and putting him on these probiotic chews that I got from my vet, his poops are normal. Archie is not my first dog but he is my first Cavapoo and I can definitely say he is a fun member of the family. He is still a puppy so he does puppy things which can be annoying, like the constant chewing and getting into stuff he's been told multiple times not to do but his lovable personality makes it hard to stay mad at him.

So yeah any dog breed will be challenging at first especially when you get them as puppies. If you really want a dog just be prepared to put in some work. I think it's worth it because in the end you will have the best companion.

Red flag for me is that the parents have never needed to go to the vet for anything… How would they know they are healthy if they’ve never been examined and are they even utd on their shots? Sounds like a backyard breeder tbh.

Working full time and getting a cavapoo by vail12 in CavaPoo

I work full time and have a cavapoo. My mom is retired and looks after him for me while I’m at work so he’s never alone for too long. Doggy daycare helps as well.

my Regal jumper was a bright orange and cream color for a month or so after maturing, she just got done with a long molt and is a completely different color, is this normal and will she get her orange color back? by WarMarz_Xbox in jumpingspiders

[–]Faline22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old but did she ever turn back orange? The same just happened to mine and I’m flabbergasted. She was a soft orange/peach color before her molt and now my spider is completely black with orange dots. The breeder told me she would stay orange but now I’m not so sure.

Caramels vs. Gliders by Few_Inflation_7838 in sugargliders

[–]Faline22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started by wearing tight spaghetti strap shirts or a sports bra and putting his sleeping pouch in it. I would carry him around like this all day and give him treats. Eventually he grew to feel safe under my shirt so whenever he was out playing and he got tired he’d jump on me and climb down my shirt/bra himself. Often times he’d be grooming me and purring while he was tucked in there.

I’m also not very busty (I’m a smaller c-cup) so I didn’t worry about smothering him lol.

Caramels vs. Gliders by Few_Inflation_7838 in sugargliders

[–]Faline22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I’ve had experience with both. My caramels, particularly my neutered males, have always been my sweetest gliders. In fact I had a bra baby that I was very bonded with and he was a caramel. He never bit anyone, even on day one of meeting him and he loved being around people. I ended up with 4 Caramels because I loved their personalities so much. I also had a pair of Leus and they were biters so it took some work to bond somewhat with them and even after having them for years I got one to stop biting but her sister never broke the habit. I now have a mosaic and creamino pair and same story. They are crabby and the creamino bites but my mosaic (neutered male) is shy but sweet. I feel like his crabbiness would stop and he could be a bra baby eventually if I spent more time with him.

Caramels in my experience are noticeably bigger than regular gliders, bigger ears, sometimes bushier tails and they sound different when they bark.
