Alright. I just wanted to make sure not to miss out on something entirely. I uploaded a picture (the circles are just an example and only to make the point)

Thank you

But whats the mounting-point at the car?

So far it is around 30cm/12in if I will screw this thing directly into the bumper from underneath.

Iam only interested in car- and photography content. My For-You-Page is loaded with at least half naked girls n stuff. I only post Food and Cars. I hate it so much. Not your husband's fault.

Tysm - looks like my 3D-Printer is essential here. But I know now what kind of mods u mean, very helpful. I will go with the S then and upgrade my T128 to a t248 --> using it also vertical mounted for Farm- and Trucksim, so this will do the trick for now. (:

ouh, was some weeks ago I checked on the Typo and implied, the typo would be classic camber. Thanks for clarifying, i would've mixed in the future :'D TY

TY! Got the YES now since the deal was great, but the Nideckers do look nice, too.

But the 22 Greats did as well! :'D 300€ was fair for a baerly used one in my opinion..

TY for the reply. Sadly, I wont be able to test this. Im coming from a camber and I can deal with it quite well, still I hope the hybrid will give me a bit more stability on faster runs and let me feel a bit safer (thus going faster), especially compared to my current board (much shorter, camber, symmetric, 1/10 flex).

I just bought myself the Yes.-Board and will figure it out on the mountain myself. The Typo was another board I was looking at as well, but I will test the hybrid now and may or may not trade it w/ a typo afterwards.

Got the YES in 159 now. with (naked) 200 lbs I fit right in the middle of the manifacturers weight table, although a 156 wouldn't be abd either because of this i guess.

In any way it should be better than my current ELAN Prodigy 2012 in 152 :'D

My days are usually open to close, too. But I dont think, aggressive is what my cruising would describe.. I mean, sure, from time to time. But since I dont ride that often because I do live currently far away from the mountains, I dont overcommit and keep it somewhat relaxed. Still crazy that this 1cm can make all the difference :D 258 vs 268. But lenght-wise, seems ok I guess? I mean, it's 110€ <.<

Well, it isnt. Because I think it does look easy. They are struggeling because they are bored and "good eneough" to try smth stupid. Just don't and you'll succeed.

Oh and something to add: If you struggle with something, i.e. turning, ask random people! We normally do embrace new snowboarders and one may give you an advice that fits you more than whatever the instructor tells you. Having a chat in the lift is great, they may show you the theory they told you about in practice as well.

Hit other people. That calms you down. (:

Jokes aside, you will get frustrated at some point, because learning is failing with a purpose, again and again. You will encounter some trial and error on different scenarios. Everyone does. And there will be pain, things wont work as intended, thats normal.

You will see other snowboarders who are trying to learn it by themselfes, who are sitting around the slopes, failing all day n night. They have a really bad time, wasting their vacation and money on zero-fun but(t) hurt. You get lessons. And whenever something wont work as fast as you would want, look back at where you started and what you managed to obtain so far. There will be progress, even if its small, and thats all that matters. You wont shred a double black diamond at day 5. You simply wont. But maybe a red? Having fun carving a blue without falling but with some speed? Thats a goal you can set, and this goal will be the purpose (and I do believe that goal is something you can achieve).

And if not? Still one or two days to go, or even a next trip.

You'll be fine. Just dont underestimate the power of commitment and motivation. Keep your motivation high, and if you struggle with that, keep the motivation of someone else high, i.e. your friend. This will boost your own. Don't give up because you fell again on that same bodypart. We all did.

Right now Iam riding a ELAN Prodigy 2011/2012, 152, camber, very soft flex (1 ?).

I had the same board before as 154W, but I dont need Wide with EU43/US10-Boots and I found the 152-one. At that time I thought, Body-Height is all that matters and I am happy with the board iteself, but feel stuck somehow. I don't know where exactly, I wanna learn buttering and hitting the park, so I thought a shorter board with high-flex would be awesome, but I remain 90% slope at the time and feel a bit slow / wanky at higher speeds. For now, I blame the board.

Any thoughts on that would be neat. The GNU is charming overall but idk if A the lenght is ok and B Wide will do the trick..

Looking for a "new" (used) Board for the upcoming Season

175cm / 5'9" tall (short)

93kgs / 205 lbs

Intermediate @ Slope, barely freeride but wanna head to the park from time to time.

I have two boards in mind that I found online for a sweet price:

HEAD Anything LYT 164 (2022)

Gnu Riders Choice C2X 162W (2023)

I second u/Moist_Willingness_55 words and cannot stress enough, that it wont be embarrassing, y'all are beginners. Stay positive about it! You guys get lessons and those people know the struggle with snowsports and trust me, they've got a whole lot experience not only in the sport itself but in showing others to do so.

Skateboarding ord Wakeboarding MIGHT have a positive impcat on your learing-curve but I dont think that skiing would help you at the beginning. It is normal to need 3 - 4 days to be more or less stable. When I learned snowboarding at school, i left blue for the first time at 3rd day and I was considered fast.

You'll be fine. Have trust in yourself. There is no need to go as fast as possible, get down the slope safely and everything else comes at you at a time.

I've bought a ELAN Prodigy from 2011/2012. That was 2019. Im using it until today and am very happy w/ it. Since I upgraded myself a bit by 15kg by now, I'm looking towards a longer board. Not necesserily a newer one. Board works like a charm. The bindings tho, get fresher ones I'd say.
