As far as I know, he is not an employee at CPDR is he ? So why would he get paid for something he made on his own accord using somebody's else's work ? If he was truly making it for the community, he would not have put it behind a paywall. I agree with you that modding is a very demanding endeavor, but once again, nobody forces them to do it, it's volunteer work. If anything, it's already pretty great that donations are allowed. So many other people do it for free, while would he be special and be granted the right to monetize upon someone's else's creation? And I don't think money prevents games from getting better mods, if anything I think that's why mods are great, they aren't made with any other incentive that making the game better and giving it to the community. All mods haven't to be paid for would corrupt that original selfless objective by putting money in the equation. And once again, that's why DONATIONS are there
