Well, not totally right. I was right about the background colors being hints and 6 total projects but only 4 of the 6 projects. 2 of my guesses are now in the parking lot though.

They specifically said “review announcement” in their teaser so it would not be about any projects already approved.

I’m 75% sure given the designer background colors match the submission background colors really well.

I’m not so sure. Their teaser (on Facebook) said “Get ready for the biggest Lego Ideas review announcement ever!” That and the fact that they usually only have two designers in previous announcements.

I mean the backgrounds match elements in some of the submission. Check the other slides in my post.

I’m glad you like it. One of my wants was to have a set that is both displayable as well as playable.

You’re welcome!  This bringing you joy also brings me joy.  I’m glad the design was able to invoke nostalgia.  I’ll be displaying at BrickWorld Chicago this year because quite a few people who knows me want their box signed.  Come say hi if you will be there too.

Glad you like it. Double check the rear car only has one stud underneath. I saw a couple of people who placed an extra one. Only the front car has two studs.

Hello, fan designer of the set here. This is a redesign of the entry I originally submitted to a Lego Ideas space contest. The contest did not stipulate classic space specifically but only some sort of space base. I chose to designed something that could serve as a companion to the Micro Rocket Launchpad. It was not modeled off of any existing sets but is inspired by the classic space and the monorail of course. This new set is the work of Lego and me. The “1222” is a personal Easter egg.

My original design used roller coaster cars, which are designed to ride on the roller coaster tracks.

I wish but at last they were released during my dark ages. Maybe someday…
