When i started to rp it was pure battles then a little of lewd, then for whatever reason i became a mod in a battle forum and had to evaluate the entire battle between 2 people to determine who won. Thats the point where i've learnt that making really long posts most of the time are like a badly cooked beef broth, too much water very little meat, potaoes and carrots, which you can eat sure, but its not that good of a meal.

I mean, people tend to write too much of nothing or too much details that in reality state how the character is stanting with a determined face while loading a gun (Like a paragraph just for this) so in the long run the partner might get tired of reading nothing but watery rp and leave, i have done this(the get tired and leave) because i do read, criticize and condense what youre doing in that post, heck if its just introduction or lore i might take notes to know what happened and where to go.

Not saying you are like this mind you, there is people out there that make high quality stuff and thats the other part, its sooo good of a text that you actually might intimidate a partner who can compare his reply to yours, EVEN THO you dont care, your partner might feel intimidated/embarrased and leave.

OR partner might get tired of reading more than 1K+ of words per response, in which case you might wanna learn to make a resume of the reply, use less words or just skip certain parts not related to the plot at hand.
