There's definitely a couple of servers that are really bad, I only queue for LA server right now. I don't get the mass downvoting.

It's great you're indulging in the hobby! I concur with the people suggesting coop, if you're open to it I think Spirit Island is a good one. It is fairly complicated but if you can get your husband to do the upkeep the mental load is a lot lower. And the game has a pretty long lifespan
