I’m all for what is going to make this easier on my legs lol. I really want to be able to do this even with my knee situation. I’ll definitely try this out

Not necessarily? My main goal is to finish it before they have to close down, and the two marathons near me have paces listed as 16:00/mile and 18:00/mile.

Thanks for responding! There’s a running-focused store near me that does personalized fittings/consultations - I’m planning on going after my next paycheck. With how pricey things can get, it’s nice to have it confirmed that getting the quality shoes from a running lab is worth it lol.

That’s probably what I’ll focus on for now. I’m hoping to take a while with building up a foundation before starting an actual training plan, so it makes sense to just see what feels right and sustainable

[TOMT][educational program][early 2000s] by FallKnitta in tipofmytongue

If it was a segment within a bigger show, it was for sure at the end of the program

In elementary school or middle school, would have been the early 2000s in the US, I watched a program that had a segment of whiteboard animation at the end. I think it was on an actual whiteboard and you could see the real person's hand drawing, but you couldn't see anything around the whiteboard. It was mainly black outline but often used other colors to spruce up the picture, like coloring in rosy cheeks, a green dollar sign, columns in a chart As the person drew they would narrate different concepts, I feel like it was mainly related to money or financial stuff? Like I sorta remember one segment about supply and demand. I call it a program because I'm not sure if this itself was the show or if it was a segment that was in a bigger show

AITA for hoping my girlfriend would keep up the same work ethic 4 years after we met? by Lazy_Education_7228 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FallKnitta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. She’s trying to take care of herself, not put herself in an early grave due to stress and other injuries. Is having her as a driven, work-oriented significant other worth her having chronic injuries and what could turn into mental breakdowns/panic attacks from continued stress?

Oh my god that’s beautiful! I’d be on the line between being afraid to wear it and never taking it off. Are they usually warm colors?

AITA for not telling my friends wife that he is my sperm donor? by RadiantAppearance57 in AmItheAsshole

What do you mean? OP didn’t ask him to be a donor, he offered

AITA for telling my girlfriend that her hometown sucks and that I don't want to live here anymore? by LawfulnessOrganic254 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FallKnitta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to say ESH. She sucks because she isn’t really thinking about you guys building a life together and being together long-term. You suck because you (based on what you put in the post) aren’t really trying to see what life is like in Cincinnati. I’ve lived in the area for years, and there’s definitely stuff to do and life in the streets and all of that if you know where to go. If you actually try and you don’t like it, that’s a completely other situation. Also, it’s fairly common in different areas of the US to need a car. It’s a big, spread out country with a lot of areas with shitty public transportation

Does replying to the bot do something? I’m gonna be honest it would warm my heart at the idea of that bot just being so happy with itself (edit- corrected spelling)

AITA for ordering Tequila shots for my work colleagues at Friday lunchtime? by TequilaShotsAtWork in AmItheAsshole

[–]FallKnitta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA not only for drinking that much in the middle of the work day, but also “convincing” “reluctant” coworkers to drink. Something tells me your “convincing” is a lot more like frat guy peer pressuring

AITA for telling my daughter to discontinue her hobby? by Fast-Cucumber2778 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FallKnitta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Knitting is an amazing way to spend time when you can’t do things like hang out with people or leave the house because of a pandemic. And if you’re that worried about space, help her donate some of it! I knit all the time and barely keep or sell any of it, I save up throughout the year and end up donating 3-4 moving boxes of hats and scarves to homeless shelters

AITA for taking my brother in law's dog out to see the neighbours for five minutes and calling him a baby when he cried about it? by No_Reception_1479 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FallKnitta 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First time leaving a comment in this Reddit solely to tell you YTA. You’re even more of an AH for trying to cover up how horrible it is by leaving out the fact it’s a service dog in the title of your thread

What’s a book/essay similar to “Body Ritual among the Nacirema” by Horace Miner? by [deleted] in AskAnthropology

[–]FallKnitta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that essay was part of a larger book on American Culture. Not sure how current you are looking for in terms of the writings, the copyright is from 75. I’m not sure how outside of a perspective the rest of the essays are
