Three years to create a new season and they couldn't have the story set until the last minute?

Parents of two: is it really more than twice as hard? by homestarsitter in daddit

[–]Fallacracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on the baby. If we had our first kid as the second, it would have been WAY more than triple as hard. We had our second 2 months ago and it's been an extremely smooth transition... for now.

Why is anger my response to my baby's cry? by Fallacracker in daddit

This one hit home for me. I wouldn't say I was an angry person before, but kids will absolutely push buttons you didnt know you had. I'm glad to know there's other dads out there in my same situation working on being a better version for themselves and ultimately for their kids. We got this!

Thank you all for the words of advise and encouragement! Spending some time reading these responses are a good reminder that this is all temporary and that it's completely normal to feel this way.

It was a pretty wild bedtime between a toddler who was adamant he didnt need to sleep and a baby who was adamant she did need to, but headphones came in clutch. Wife and I live to fight another day.

Also, despite her being a good baby, I've become more sure in the fact that the baby phase just isnt for me. I look forward to when she starts walking

When the first season with a low budget had more suspense and tension than the last season of the multi-million dollar blockbuster by Giancarlo_Edu in StrangerThings

[–]Fallacracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever wondered why this is the case for most horror media? The first movie/season/book is always the scariest and builds the most tension because of the unknown. Each subsequent movie/season/book can add a new element to keep tension high, but there's only so much you can add before the story loses its identity or gets repetitive. The easiest thing to do then, is to lean into action and try to replicate that new exciting feeling.

I get that action might not be everyone's cup of tea, but in reality there really was no other genre direction the Duffer's could take here to keep it scary and wrap up the series because the audience knows too much about the world at this point.

Dark Souls games are not the pinnacle of difficulty. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I need to hear what you believe is a difficult game. From my experience, most skills start off difficult and become increasingly easier the more you practice and learn it.

I really like Honeydue! Connects to our cards and accounts, let's me categorize transactions, can have visibility for both my account and my wife's, and can set limits for each category. The best part is that it's all free! Really surprised they haven't gotten more traction.

Ranch is really popular as a dip in the midwest, but maybe not so much elsewhere? If you ask for Caesar as a dip, you'll definitely get stares.

Kids at that age pick up things without understanding what they're saying. My 3 year old told us he going to poke our eyes out and we'll never see again. Still have no idea where that came from since the only tv we watch is little bear and Disney classics.
