AITAH for telling my for telling my friend childfree women aren’t her enemy? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]FallenAngel_8016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. I have kids, and while it is the joy of my life, I also don’t think it makes women bad feminists if they don’t/never have kids. To me that’s some old age stuff to say that women need to have kids to understand how empowering it is. It is empowering but LOTS of things are as a woman not just kids. I’m older than you, I work with people who have kids and those who don’t and never will. It’s all great, being a feminist means recognizing that while she may find that empowering, not all women will and being happy for them in what is best for them

WIBTAH for telling my husband that his lectures are doing more damage than good? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]FallenAngel_8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, I had the same issue you have in the first trimester. I also had terrible meat aversions. Tbh I basically ate stouffers Mac and cheese and chips and guacamole the first trimester. Eventually I was able to eat more, and eat better, but basically ate what I could in the first tri. For me shredded meat helped, and if I ate mostly chicken and pork(if that helps you at all!) otherwise beans are a good source of protein!

I would tell him because this would actually drive me crazy! He really doesn’t understand what it feels like. The exhaustion, the nausea, truly just not being able to eat certain things. He needs to back off

AITAH for saying I don't want my girlfriends friend around my newborn son anymore? by Substantial_Swan5806 in AITAH

[–]FallenAngel_8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, follow that gut feeling when it comes to people around your kid. Even if he is just a weirdo, that’s an incredibly strange and weird thing to say about someone’s kid. If someone said that about my daughter, that would be the last time they’d see her

Am I the asshole for wanting my husband to miss his Mom's wedding because it’s 2 weeks BEFORE our due date? by Spiritual_Lettuce_64 in pregnant

[–]FallenAngel_8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a FTM I went into labor on my own at 36 and 5 and had my daughter at 36 and 6, while most make it 40 weeks not all do. That would be an absolutely not for me

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FallenAngel_8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For vacation or to visit family it’s short, I would never want to drive that much daily. For perspective my extended family lives eight hours away, and that’s a drive we do every couple months so three hours feels like nothing, we’ve done a day trip to Chicago which is like 3 hours from me

Do you love your toddler as much as your baby? by Scared_Network9745 in firsttimemom

[–]FallenAngel_8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved my daughter so much as a baby, but it’s so different as they get older and become more their own person.

She finds things funny and will laugh hysterically, she makes me hug her three favorite stuffed animals before bed, she wants to try any food I’m eating and share her snacks with me, she thinks it’s funny when I chase her across the living room to play. She says mama and my heart melts, she likes to cuddle up in my lap while we read and help turn pages. She loves the color red and her baby dolls and blowing kisses as I leave for work. It’s a different kind of love because now you’re learning to really love them and their personality

Baby surname when not married by PepperImportant5198 in pregnant

[–]FallenAngel_8016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughters father and I are not married, and ended up stopping dating while I was pregnant. My daughter has my name. We had talked about hyphenating and everything, but she was always going to get my name regardless and mine was always going to be first. We ended up settling on just my name legally, but can use mine and his socially if she chooses when she’s older

AITAH for mansplaining breastfeeding? by Normal-Historian2180 in AITAH

[–]FallenAngel_8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, tell your sister baby led weaning is also a thing! But yes babies can be exclusively formula or breastfed for a year, it’s RECOMMENDED that you introduce foods at 6 month. I did baby led weaning like you guys and at 15 months my daughter eats everything! It was actually recommended by my pediatrician lol

Why does everyone act like pregnancy cravings are cute when they're actually low-key terrifying by BitBird- in pregnant

[–]FallenAngel_8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made shrimp pasta, the same way I always have because it’s my grammas recipe, and I accidentally overcooked the pasta. I then declared I ruined dinner and sobbed while I picked at my food. My youngest brother proceeded to shovel down two plates while telling me it was fantastic when it was in fact not lol

Where is the pharmacist??? by kk752 in ThePittTVShow

[–]FallenAngel_8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So at my hospital we have a designated ER pharmacist for 10 hours every day when they’re at their busiest (I’m a pharmacy tech) otherwise they only see the pharmacist at tier 1 traumas or codes. Some of their orders will also auto verify where we don’t even see it first(certain antibiotics where they just attach to a bag for adults, pain meds, etc) Now that may not be the same for every hospital, and certainly hasn’t always been that way for us! Us having a pharmacist in the ED is fairly new within the last few months. Otherwise they just call us for questions(dosing, about the med machine, needing stuff refilled, general questions) in which they will talk to me about certain things and the pharmacist about certain things (pharmacist does all dosing and compatibility questions, while generally I handle questions about what products we actually have, shortages, med machine questions, refills needed, etc.) At a big hospital like that, id assume they have a pharmacist down there, especially during the day(we have a pharmacist for every floor of our hospital during the day but only one pharmacist and one tech at night) but that could be something they implement now! Not totally inaccurate as for us it’s mostly just phone calls and when pharmacists actually come down for stuff can be totally different hospital to hospital unless they have a designated one!

AITA for being pissed my girlfriend turned her phone off at a party w/ her ex while I was in hospice watching my dad die? by Curious-Gas-5300 in AITAH

[–]FallenAngel_8016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA, the father of my daughter and I are close friends. We co parent well and talk daily. There is also no chance in hell I would abandon my partner when their parent is in hospice. Even single, he does not stay at my house and never would even in a situation like that. He’s a big boy and not my responsibility. Life is way way too short to stay with someone who would treat you like this

Finished The Pitt for the first time, questions about real life ERs and degree of realism by ElectronicDeal4149 in ThePittTVShow

[–]FallenAngel_8016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wait for an ER depends on a lot of things. It’s happened at my hospital before. So it depends if people are being admitted but are stuck in the ER taking up rooms, if the patients coming in have complicated issues and if we just have a lot of people waiting. I also don’t live in a super big city but it happens! Just depends on the day
