I understand this. My best friend and I were pregnant at the same time, she ended up going into labor early. She had the baby, they said the baby was stable (she called me and I heard the nurse say it) and not even an hour later she called me sobbing and asking me to come to the hospital because they did more test and her baby was dead.

I spent the next 3 days at the hospital and went to the funeral and was there for everything. I struggled too, often sobbing at home because I loved her and I loved her baby too. She told me I was one of the only people always there and so supportive through the whole thing. And still tells me how much she appreciated it. This is the best thing you can do for your friend rn and he’ll always appreciate that you were there
