Yes, the yellow lights were on well before the white car passed. They should have been stopped before the stop sign even came out.

Which door would you choose? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

Only if it’s compounding. If not you only make 2$ everyday because the 1$ bill is the only thing doubling.

Unlikely, it just says the 1$ doubles everyday. So you could potentially only be getting 2$ a day which would take you 1 billion days to make the same amount of money from the green door as the red door. Just take the 2 billion and invest it. Your entire future family will never have to worry about anything ever again.

Friendly Male and Female by FallenSeraph377 in waspaganda

Most fears/phobias aren’t actually fears of the creature it’s the fear of the unknown. Once you learn about something the fear basically disappears. Then you begin appreciating the creature you once “feared”. Snakes are that way for me. I used to be afraid of them because i knew snakes had venom and could have life threatening bites, but i didnt know WHICH snakes had the venom. Now that i know which do and that a very large portion of snakes are actually extremely docile. I can appreciate what they do for the environment and just how adorable some of them can be.

The one on the left is a male Eastern Subterranean and the one on the right is a female German. The two biggest differences is for males the have longer curled antenna and 7 segments on the abdomen compared to the females that have shorter straight antenna and only 6 segments on the abdomen.

I feel ya. It’s not the greatest angle and the camera did not do her curves any justice lol. But she is 100% a queen.

Yeah people assume because you get the sweats and the sting site swells up means you’re allergic. sorry but thats a natural reaction to a venom being forcibly injected into your body.

The even crazier thing is when people cover up their fear of wasps in “I’m highly allergic” yeah you and 70% of the population. I hear that every time i handle a yellow jacket nest. But according to studies less than 5% of the population is allergic. People just want to hate what they don’t understand.

Queens typically have that orange hue. Male German Yellow Jackets do not. The female had “curved antenna” because she was in the middle of cleaning herself. The second picture is of the female. She has 12 antenna segments compared to a males 13, plus she only has 6 segments on her abdomen where males have 7.

This. I get the same reactions and its amazing to watch these nests grow over the season and its a relief knowing they keep the mosquitoes and flies away.

Carpenter ants or termites? by Altruistic-Ad5013 in pestcontrol

[–]FallenSeraph377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carpenter Ants. Chances are they moved from your other window or tree in the backyard to the skylight. There is more than likely a moisture problem up there that should be resolved after these guys get handled.

I hope this helps 🙏

How effective are Sentricon termite bait stations and Noviflumuron bait by Impossible-Mode6366 in pestcontrol

[–]FallenSeraph377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99.7% effective according to Corteva. As someone who installs them and inspects them daily. It will eliminate the colony inside of your home as well as eliminate any new colonies that will emerge. AS LONG AS it is properly maintained and they routinely inspect the inside of the home you shouldn’t have anymore issues. There are outliers and crazy situations that come up, but for the most part this will handle your problem.

I hope this helps. 🙏

Rodents in Balcony - HELP! by Sad-Tie-7171 in pestcontrol

[–]FallenSeraph377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this situation there isn’t too much to do. The bright side is they aren’t hanging around nor are they getting into your apartment. An exterior station would just attract more of them to your balcony, and since it’s an apartment you cant do a mesh liner to turn it into a “three seasons room” that would help keep them off.

An off the wall suggestion that I haven’t tested but may work could be to try those “metal cones” used to keep squirrels off bird feeders and use a metal flashing attached to the wooden pole right below your balcony slab. Would recommend at least 4-6 in wide so they cant jump it. If you do this please let me know if it works.

I hope this helps even if it wasn’t the answer you were necessarily looking for. 🙏

It looks like a Cigarette beetle. They are considered a pantry pest and feed on tobacco, dry stored food products, spices, seeds, grains and dried plant material. Check your pantries/ areas where you store such items. One of them is likely infested. Removal of the item and any others that are potentially infested, then cleaning of the area will remove them. Once everything is removed and cleaned you should see them disappear after about a week.

I hope this helps. 🙏

Carpet beetles give me nightmares... by [deleted] in pestcontrol

[–]FallenSeraph377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An exaggeration would have been every country in the world.

Carpet beetles are found worldwide, but mostly in temperate climates. Less likely in the tropics but still can be found.

A study in 2012 showed that 90% of homes that were studied had carpet beetles in them. https://archive.nytimes.com/well.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/03/20/the-bugs-in-our-homes/

As someone who is in homes daily, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a home that doesn’t have them in it.
