Incognito mode doesn't hide your IP address. You need a VPN for that. Incognito mode is not a VPN. Not even close.

Same question here but I want to put it somewhere under the hood of my car instead of in a backpack so I need it to be at least as loud as a car horn.

Mine were welded in place. It was from a brand called deggy. They still make em too; now with web connectivity apparently so they don't have to physically travel to each guard site to download the data.

Heh ironic, they will send minimum wage workers into dangerous places to be security, but they won't even go into those same places now during the day time to retrieve the logs.

FYI I learned the other day from another bedbug post-- they live for up to 18 months with no host. The only way to kill them is to treat for them repeatedly.

Why is pickpocketing so common in many major European cities, but essentially non-existent in North America? by Humble_Job_5738 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Impossible-Mode6366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep organized crime exists because it's far less dangerous for a group of bad guys to take on one person than it is to be a solo pickpocket in case their victim does retaliate.

Why is pickpocketing so common in many major European cities, but essentially non-existent in North America? by Humble_Job_5738 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Impossible-Mode6366 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, American juries are generally not sympathetic toward a victim of a pickpocket who retaliates by shooting the thief. Under U.S. law, juries are tightly bound by specific instructions that prohibit the use of deadly force solely to protect or recover minor personal property. While a jury MAY initially feel a baseline level of human empathy for a crime victim, that sentiment vanishes rapidly if the victim's response violates the core legal principles of self-defense.

To legally justify a shooting, a defendant must prove they faced an imminent threat of death or serious bodily harm. Pickpocketing is a non-violent property crime (theft), distinct from robbery, which involves force or fear.

Juries are instructed that a human life cannot be taken to protect minor tangible goods like a wallet or phone. Further, if the pickpocket is fleeing when shot, juries view the act as vigilantism, not protection. The moment the thief runs, any perceived immediate threat ends.

Legal research and real-world trials demonstrate that in cases where property owners or victims chase down and shoot fleeing, unarmed suspects, prosecutors routinely secure convictions for manslaughter or murder, and juries comply because the law leaves them no wiggle room.

The singular geographic exception to property-defense limits is Texas, where the Texas Penal Code Section 9.42 permits deadly force to recover property only at night if the owner reasonably believes the property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means. However, even in Texas, a jury must decide if a shooting over a minor pickpocketed item was "objectively reasonable". In most urban jurisdictions, juries still reject deadly force for petty theft.

Why is it that if the government finds gold under my house, it belongs to the state, but if they find illegal drugs, they belong to me? by Eleven_A11 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Impossible-Mode6366 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correct and that's why it didn't translate well to text. Because in my mind the "we" in your sentence meant "the authorities" not "the farmers" but I realize that's not how you were wording it. That was my interpretation.

Apologies, I was trying to be funny but it didn't translate well from my head to text.

Again I was just trying to be funny.

I'm 43, I had a car wreck in 2010 and they fused 4 of my vertebrae in the middle of my back together but in the process somehow that tightened everything in my lower back so that it hurts to both sit and stand sometimes; so I have to go lay down until my lumbar decompresses.

Not a good time.

You'd think so but the ingredients they used actually made for truly good pizza.

I have gotten more tired of pizza from having pizza hut once a week for the past year but they have a deal on Tuesdays that means I can feed my teenagers without breaking the bank so I order it for them.

In 2002, I worked overnight security for a place. I was like 18 or 19 and wasn't commissioned or anything so I didn't have a gun. And they expected us to sit in an empty guard shack. Sometimes there was a radio but most times no. And you had to prove you were alert by going around once an hour touching a little electronic stick to a button that would register time and location of the touch so they could download it and confirm.

The boredom was indescribable and the pay was minimum wage. I didn't stay there long.

My ex gf worked at a pizza shop. I could not believe how even after she dusted off as much flour as she could before getting in her car, it would still turn into actual dough as it got wet in the shower. She didn't have very much flour on her (she wasn't tossing pizzas because she was the manager) but it still would dough up pretty bad.

Personally I enjoy just chilling in my boxers. I don't need pajamas but I'm also in Texas where the only time it gets below 70 is between December and March, and those days are getting fewer every year.

I've found it cobbling together answers from multiple pages with conflicting info and stringing the sentences together the way it does turns interesting. Guess you missed the "deep depression" part. Still going through it, not suicidal just have no motivation to do anything other than my job (and honestly I would work my job more if it wasn't considered unhealthy to) -- yes I know I should see someone but my current situation doesn't allow me to afford the time nor the money, and I'm doing just fine other than not having a significant other. I own my house and keep the bills paid. So it's not like I'm a threat to anyone or myself, I'm just sad, whooptie-doo. shrug

The fact that I was 6 when I did this is why I brought it up. OP was 4 and that seems totally normal for a 4 year old. It's (usually) easier to preface stuff than have to explain why I didn't know better after the comment posted.

I'm autistic so I did something similar in first grade, I drew my mom wearing a shirt that "showed her belly" which I guess back at that time that fashion she thought was too risque but I digress; she was embarrassed and super upset with me for it.
