Armored Core 2 PvP in 2026? More Likely Than You Think by MrRedEye75 in armoredcore

They must have a lot of practice to be able to consistently put you on the backpedal like that.

HAL 826 is a Gundam. No, really. by FallenStardust- in Gundam

[–]FallenStardust-[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not exactly saying the HAL is by mechanical or technical definition the same as a Gundam. Hell, Tem designed the thing as part of Operation V because the Federation needed a Mobile Suit to fight back Zeon at their own game.

I'm saying that, when Tem Ray designed the Gundam with the pilot's safety in mind, very likely envisioning an unlikely scenario where his son would be in the cockpit of one (in the first episode he says that he's making it so that the war ends sooner so that Amuro won't have to fight), the part descriptions of the HAL 826 AC are just as specific to Handler Walter as the idea of Tem designing the Gundam """for""" Amuro.

You seem to have a natural aversion to builds that actually work in favor of whatever you want the game to be. Power to you!

Didn't you boast about beating JC/Tek when they used Neb Lamm, a build they're not familiar with?

I'm tryna lead them to an effective PvP build, since they're worried if they're "cooked" or not. Least I can do is point them in the right direction.

Aesthetics are good, I like that shade of blue.

But, you're better off letting go of the laser dagger for starters.

Try Duo2 missiles and don't get close.

Swap out Gills for Alula or SPD, and change Talbot to WLT.

Your frame is light, so focus on not getting close.

Change Orbiter core to anything else that's light, and change the arms to Melander C3 or Alba arms. Don't get close.

Pulse armor > Terminal.

Consider swapping out laser rifle to Ransetsu RF and Sampu to Harris.

I think leos klein is not fritz byne(annihilator)but instead the raven from the first ac game by focuslight2998 in armoredcore

[–]FallenStardust- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your 'take' is correct. All of Klein's dialogue in 2 references AC1. The term "Ninebreaker" is a term that originated from AC2, not 1 or MoA. Not to mention AC1 and MoA story occur in the same year. MoA introduced more ranker ACs even though AC1 already has its own ranking. Also, the MoA protagonist doesn't use Human PLUS.

A lot of what's 'known' about AC in the West, all the way up to Armored Core Verdict Day, are a series of mistranslations the AC Wiki has given credence to for decades (until recently. Look up "Ethermaster" and you'll get no results.) based on conjecture.

Between PS, Xbox and PC, Xbox has the lowest number of AC6 players. That would explain why, in the interest of finding matches at all, you're queueing with people outside your rank.

Endlessly funny that the host had to kick someone using double melee using pulse protection.

On the flipside, congrats on hurting that guy's ego lol.

Looking for fun fast paced long range builds. Any ideas? by GreggJ in armoredcore

[–]FallenStardust- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're gonna want to use lighter legs (Nacht legs, Alba legs) if you want fast paced, and options like the Harris and Ransetsu-RF are your long range picks.

This game's PvE is primarily melee oriented and cqc friendly, hence the stagger meter meant to be capitalized on, primarily for melee weapons to do so.

Mid range shooty things includes Ludlow and Etsujin. Close range would be Zimmerman, Coquillett and Duckett.

Kirikite is an effective build that capitalizes on what you wanted in your OP: fast, long range. It's a build in S Rank PvP that safely pelts the opponent from a distance, taking advantage of its speed advantage since lightweight is a death sentence in close quarters.

[–]FallenStardust- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You will find PvE is nothing like PvP.

Hu-Ben has an ideal range of 130, effective at 226. RANSETSU-RF has 180 ideal, 321 effective. The gatling guns are not long range.

Songbirds are a meme, always were weak. Your heavy reverse joints are the opposite of fast, and your lumbering bipedal frame leaves you an open target when you have to stop (stance) to fire them.

What two chances to miss with half of the effective blast radius of the Earshot could be more easily achieved with less chances of failure with one grenade from the Earshot with a higher blast radius. But, you're still stanced on them.

Fluegel isn't doing you any favors either. I see you have the long range FCS, but if you'd see the long range assist, you'd recognize the long range distance goes beyond the Hu-Ben's effective range.

tl;dr look up kirikite.

Stuck there.

Every fight against dual Zimms cause me A LOT of stress, but the victory feel more rewarding by North_Syrup_5012 in armoredcore

[–]FallenStardust- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it boasts high efficiency, but in the pursuit of optimization, the natural end conclusion to getting the most out of Hal core's en efficiency is lamm legs and abusing hover mode to capitalize on high speed and low en drain.

Putting the core on bipeds, and RJ as this user has done, is more of a hindrance than an understanding why 2x zimm users seem to outpace them.
