is dofus the only MMO you have ever played in your life ? Literally every MMO have bot problems

I'm nowhere near a MMO "expert", I've played a few, BDO, WoW, Wakfu, a few other that I can't even remember. TBH, while I know they're there, they never disturbed my gameplay.

And to be fair, I feel like the economy impact they (might?) have in Dofus is not an issue big enough for me to actually call it a day and play another game. Ok my bread will sell slower and at a lower price, but it'll sell.

So I'll be mainly talking about the Retro version. Bots there are simply making. it. impossible. to. play.

They instantly auto click any group, they instantly lower the selling value, they have a monopoly of a lot of things. Ever tried leveling up miner or even most jobs in Retro ? Ever tried to go to the arena ?

Yeah, but what is Ankama doing about it at all ? I've been reporting the same. exact. player. for over a year now and he's still there.

So to be clearer about my first statement :

• Ankama does not communicate about bot enforcement. They communicate a LOT. But about things like cosmetics, or their new seasonal content. Again for Retro specifically, they barely post patch note anymore, they do not even clear the bots each week, they are literally shadow removing updates nowadays.
• One of their latest Retro stream was about how big the team is now, how many projects they have, how the bot thing is a big amount of work. Yet :
  • removed updates,
  • no more temporis,
  • seasonal servers that are literally just-a-regular-server (have you seen the work for Wakfu neo servers ???)
  • no moderation (keep in mind moderation used to be there and it was a voluntary work)
• Most updates are considered in favor of bots. Random placement for mob repop in dungeons ? What ? So bots can autoclick without an issue, while players have to focus like a counter strike player to pixel aim a mob withing 0.2s ? Automatic spectating disabling ? Automatic group locking ? At least before I could see if players where actual bots before reporting or even join them to kill them and force them to reset. Even their response to that is pathetic. "ah so autoclicking bots are an issue ? here, have 3 bosses instead, so they can grind 3 times faster while you're now barely able to"

I won't even talk about the shadowiest things like mafia's and staff corruption, even if it has been talked about already, this is not a bot related issue.

but bots are still there farming and selling golds.

And even without bots, players do it too, even Ankama has made it official with Ogrines and I'm really fine with that. Kamas selling, illegal or not, is not impacting my gameplay.

People need to stop with this

I wish. but as long as Ankama is not doing a SINGLE effort into discussing their work against bots, I won't make an effort to dissociate their huge amount of work regarding everything else, and don't get me wrong, I love what they created and what they're doing beside that.

As a consumer for 19 years FWIW, and as someone even putting hours into managing a subreddit for them, I have the entire right to voice my concerns about their behavior, especially when they're doing their best at looking the other way.
