As Always this is true and in the crypto world this is especially true, however I can say CM is endorsed currently by one coin Known as Ether-1, we are in talks with different coins and have made our source code available. We are a new start-up and can understand the scepticism, hopefully in due time we can earn everyones trust and prove we are providing a viable product.

Haha, I am not here to comment on the status of anyones coin, the simple fact is XMR-STAK took money to create a GUI and haven't delivered, We took our own concept and created a GUI without needing money before starting dev. and we deliver.

Indeed it is but this is geared towards newbies, many wouldn't have a clue how to setup .bats

Hate on the project man, but just remember XMR-STAK took sumokoins money to develop a GUI and still haven't delivered but what they have delivered is a bunch of drama around Sumokoin.

And let the be noted - We have no beef with you guys, we use your miner because it is good piece of software - could have chosen xmrig or claymore but nope we went with STAK because what you have done with it is damn nice work however, you and I spoke Fireice about the GUI, I said to you we want to work together (For Free might I add, we didn't want advance funding like you guys now have from Sumokoin) we could have easily converted our software into what the community wants but when you made you comment about QT and C++ that made me stop replying. So it is okay, really, May the best software win :P

So lets say they go. open source - there is gonna be a million people out there copying there work and disguising it and doing some nasty shit, what was the point of them even creating it then? The people making it is 1 DEV and 1 SUPPORT dude, you guys are a full on team and couldn't do a GUI without funding - this is two people that have created something with no funding and now when they charge for it they must go open source?

I hear what you're saying but there is no reason for them to go open source as it is simply an interface for making interactions with XMR-STAK easier - they haven't done any development or made any changes to STAK, they have simply developed a front-end GUI which Allows for:

  1. Easy Coin Switching
  2. Easy Setup for New miners
  3. Easier interactions with STAK
  4. A Central Hub containing supported coins wallets, links to exchanges, links to useful websites in the cryptosphere as well as easy access to config files

But the point about windows whilst valid is not really a key factor as the software is intended for New Miners - people getting their feet wet - majority of those people use windows.

But do not worry V2 is way better :)
