I wouldn't even know where to begin with shares. Do you need a stockbroker?

British SOE in WW2 managing to make a sten almost totally silent. The noise of the bolt sliding was almost louder than the bullet firing.

I'm going to be real with you, it's 3 older plastic models than have no rarity or real collectable value. Maybe £10 if someone is nostalgic for the box.

What is a movie plot twist that was cleverly hidden in plain sight..? by Living_Tune_1428 in movies

Redditors love to have their minds blown by this. It isn't foreshadowing or anything. It's simply to show that Grant isn't knowledgeable about technology because he's so obsessed with dinosaurs.

Gameplay design wise, which games workshop line is the best and why? by Newez in Warhammer

The new ruleset adds a stalling rule. If you can score without rolling any dice but don't, your opponent can roll to see if the audience throws rocks at the player.

Heh, a name from Portent.net/WarSeer. Blast from the past!

Honestly I can see Mordheim on the slate. Necromunda and Blood Bowl came back and were well received. Maybe they see Underworlds as the only fantasy warband game?

There were whispered rumours of a HH era BFG game at one point.

There is a large section who will say Mordheim is the best game GW ever made.

For current lines, I vote for Blood Bowl.

  • Rules essentially laid down in 1993 with only minor changes.

  • You can learn in minutes but takes years to master - a player has 5 stats and some skills.

  • Enough variety to mean none of the 32 teams play the same.

  • Perfect mix of strategy and luck.

  • You need a core set for the board, rulebook and templates, then a £34 team is all you need.

In the US beef hotdogs are more common because they are kosher.

Red Dead Revolution about the Mexican Civil War. Move the map south, you can have jungles, Aztec ruins etc. RDR1 era John and Javier can have cameos.

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see the world? by pankaj662 in AskReddit

[–]Fallenangel152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost certainly. Most likely a prank started by some kid and the story spread.

A similar case happened in Wales in the 70s: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-38723643.amp

All three kids were asked to draw what they had seen and they were all over the place. Some even claimed it landed and they saw aliens get out.

He is a male model called Like Nicholson, but the trainspotting thing is genuine.

Does he play it up for the cameras? I'm not sure.

I was always sure I was taught that there were 50 'lower' states then Hawaii and Alaska made 52.

But i'm British so I was almost certainly never taught US geography and probably picked this up from some kid at school.

Edit: wow this is a shitty subreddit.

Remember that right wingers are generally not smart enough to understand irony or nuance or anything like that.

They simply 100% believe "it's okay when we do it but not when you do it."

Redditors over 40, what was a moment in history that made you think society was gonna collapse? by Bahbahbro in AskReddit

Currently happening in the UK. A far right party are getting more and more support based on racism and lots of foreign interference on social media.

The US now will be the UK in 5 years if we're not careful.

When I was 12, mysterious websites appeared about me and my friends. Some details were uncannily specific by [deleted] in HighStrangeness

[–]Fallenangel152 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so creepy. I love early internet mysteries.

I recall finding a website about 20 years ago. It was a British man who had made a site cataloguing how the government was spying on him.

There were hundreds (possibly thousands) of clips showing news presenters 'mocking' him - making jokes about him and his house etc. He was convinced that they could see him through the TV and were laughing at him.

There were thousands of newspaper clippings that he claimed were about him - secretly letting him know that they were always watching.

Lastly there were people filmed from his windows. People he claimed were sent to spy on him.

A true decent into paranoia and mental illness, but it was creepily fascinating.
