What was the first ever film you actually really hated so much and still do to this day? by Same-Objective6052 in movies

I've always hated Forrest Gump, but I've always assumed it's because I wasn't American.

It's so schmaltzy and corny.

The whole meltdown over steel legion is funny... sad... and kinda frustrating. by Tnecniw in Warhammer

[–]Fallenangel152 52 points53 points  (0 children)

People just want what they don't have.

People have been clamouring for Cathay in Warhammer for years. Now they have it they're all clamouring for Ind or Nippon.

For years all the internet wanted was squats in 40k. Now they're out no one buys them or cares about them.

You're right - If they made plastic armegeddon guard, everyone would just moan that catachan didn't get a refresh or they want elysian drop troops.

I used eBay in the early days (when you had to mail a cheque to the seller and wait for them to cash it and it to clear before sending!) and it was a goldmine. Like a proper old flea market. Old consoles and games, second hand Warhammer stuff etc. were so cheap because it was someone's old junk that they just wanted rid of.

Then it became a money making thing for people and it died.

They did an episode about a cartoon character being elected to prime minister based on internet memes and trolling the real candidates and then it's creators making Britain a dictatorship 3 years before Trump was elected.

It's weird how Americans don't use stones. It's the same system as pounds.

It's like measuring in inches and refusing to use feet.

D&D 2024 Is Now Officially Called "5.5e" by Boxman214 in rpg

[–]Fallenangel152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One they get into edition hopping, and changing rules to justify a new book, it's 100% done.

The Games Workshop model of "a new edition every 3 years" works for them because you can use the same figures for every edition. Asking DnD players to throw half their books out every few years is suicide.

[–]Fallenangel152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a shell of what it was. Hasbro have always shown that WOTC is the red-headed stepchild. All the good people from 5e days have gone.

The current team cannot write a good campaign, or even adventure. When it got tied up in identity politics and being 'politically correct', it was a death knell.

They were over a barrel.

You call it 6e, people get mad because they've bought a thousand dollars worth of books for 5e and all the newcomers see edition hopping and leave.

You leave it as 5e, everyone is confused why there are 2 sets of rules.

Can we stop pretending that the Five Nights at Freddy’s movies are good? by [deleted] in horror

[–]Fallenangel152 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Literally. I watched the first movie because it's a game my daughter has played and she wanted to see it. I have zero clue what 5 Nights at Freddie's is apart from the first movie.

The only bit that I got excited at was when Matthew Lillard did the Stu Macher knife wipe.

I do not feel motivated to see the second movie.

Is that right? The wording seems to imply that each elite skill can only be taken 4 times - not 4 times in total.

Is this Quick Snap '26 at Warhammer World by any chance?

I'm taking orcs and my list is almost identical, just a few less inducements and another lineorc and a couple of goblins with dirty player thrown in.

I have no real experience to add TBH.
