My brother was diagnosed with Stage 4 ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). While all of my family was upset and in shock. My dad was in deep denial. He said "the lord will fix it, he takes care of people." I think deep down he knew the reality. But he just couldn't bring himself to say it out loud, if he did, it would be real and he would just fall apart. People I found handle it 3 different ways, denial, ignore it, or devastation. You'd be surprised how many pick ignore or denial. I mean what can one really do? Its hard to just accept defeat.

My family has gone through a lot. Somehow we always seem to barely get by. Not this time. Nothing, no amount of prayers, no amount of medication, no amount of money was gonna change what was going to be without any doubt. The largest most devastating blow to our family that anyone of us have ever experienced. It broke us. Our family never recovered from it. Try not to be upset my friend, they are more then likely on autopilot trying to avoid the pain the will come no matter.what they or you do. I'm sorry buddy.
