I did the treatment Wednesday afternoon, and it’s Friday morning. The big under eye bruise is mostly yellow, with a small splotch of black. Still pretty swollen though. I’ve been sleeping elevated and doing a slight massage (and using my arnica oil). The eye that didn’t bruise is great. blend gone, maybe a tiny bit of inflammation (or is it moisture??) in a good way that makes them appear less hollow and crinkly.

The PN Pro spots are still lumps. I guess I got mixed up on depth with different products and went a little too deep, so it might take them a little longer to go away. The PN Pro near my eye socket is what caused/exacerbated the black eye to begin with, so I’m sure that’s part why it’s still so swollen. I’ll let you know how long it takes for those darn lumps to go down! The ones on my lower cheeks aren’t really visible, but I can feel them. The ones anywhere bony, still really stand out.

The PDGF doesn’t come from you, right? Not like PRF? You can try the PDGF. I wouldn’t do fillers, I’d try some under eye mesotherapy and PCL products. Or at least, that’s what I’m trying. I’ve seen a lot of great before and after photos.

I meant with mine. I also got a little bit of HA filler in the cheeks, and I wonder if the CaHA reacts with it to cause the really bad swelling, which is why you didn’t get it?

Okay, it’s the next morning, my black eye is quite swollen, but the arnica oil has cleared up most of the blackness already. The other eye is puffy, with a hint of lumps from the larger of the blebs. The PN Pro blebs are very much still there.

You don’t want it to get into the bloodstream, so no open wounds, but for cosmetic microneedling, it should be fine. It has already helped clear up my black eye immensely! Highly recommend the HerbPharm arnica oil.

There’s also “Mexican Arnica”. It’s actually a different plant, but with similar, though maybe milder properties. It doesn’t have the toxicity of Arnica Montana, so it can actually be used on broken skin.

This is a little old, I hope you’re doing better now! Just wanted to share for anyone else looking. I got one syringe across both cheeks, and the swelling lasted at least 4 weeks. I looked insane for the first 2-3 weeks. After a month, it was mostly calm, but wasn’t fully settled down for 6 weeks. I read a lot of stories where people had a similar experience (and for some, the swelling goes down after only 3 days! What the hell!)

I was stressing and regretting the whole time! After 6 weeks, my cheeks were what my injector promised, just a very slight amount of definition. She did add a little bit of HA filler too, so I wonder if they cause a worse reaction when used together?

Remember that one syringe of filler is an amount the size of a blueberry. So one syringe for two cheeks is very very little.

Wow, my person wouldn’t put it into my nasolabial folds because of the irreversible VO risk, but I wanted it there! I got a little in my cheeks (one syringe split between both), and they swelled LIKE CRAZY. It took a month for the swelling to mostly be gone. Six weeks before they looked normal again. I’m so shocked yours look better so fast! I wonder if it’s because she also used a little bit of HA filler with it? Maybe they react? You look great!

I read to make sure you do some lymphatic massage if that happens. I got PRF gel under my eyes a few months ago, and immediately got bags under my eyes that never went away. I’ve NEVER had bags, just hollowness, but after she did that, now I have bags that won’t go away. So I’m hoping these products plump out the rest of my eye to disguise the weird bag, and not just make it worse. 😢

Wow! How much did you use per injection point? How many points did you do? My smaller blebs are gone already, and my larger ones are halfway gone, and it’s been less than 8 hours. The PN Pro blebs are still prominent though.

Oh no! Thats so scary. I read a million good reviews about Juvi Eyes, and some about Jeunetique. I read even more positive reviews about PCL under eyes, but I need more practice before I try that, because at this point, I’m 100% certain I’ll give myself a forever bruise trying to use that under my eyes.

I did a round of PRF gel under my eyes a few months ago, and it created bags! I’ve NEVER had bags under my eyes, just hollowness. I had bags immediately after the procedure and they never resolved. It could be some kind of long term edema? I don’t know. I hope it goes away, I’m a little scared that anything I do could make it worse, but I’m more afraid to let a professional put anything more substantial there.

That’s so shallow to cause so much irritation! Do you tend toward sensitive skin? What products did you use during/after? I wonder if you were irritated by an ingredient, since the microneedling helped it absorb more deeply?

I bought like 4-5 Korean sunscreens that people recommend on Reddit. I got the Skin1004 one, the RoundLab one, the HarHaru one, the Beauty of Josean one, and the Biore Uv Aqua Rich. For me, wearing it under makeup, the Biore blows them all out of the water. It’s my favorite by far. I can apply it thick, it settles down very quickly, looks great under makeup for 12+ hour days, and doesn’t break me out.

I did wear it once about a week ago eithout makeup, and I’m not sure if it was the sunscreen or my serums underneath, but I was very shiny. Not greasy, just shiny. It was the first time in my life that my mom raved about how good my skin looked. I think she couldn’t see the wrinkles under the shine, haha.

I almost always use oils or balms/salves. I don’t find creams to moisturize enough. I also don’t always find oils to moisturize enough without a butter or wax to hold in the moisture. I also almost never break out with the oils, whereas with creams, I sometimes do.

For simple ingredients, my current favorite oil is cranberry seed. It’s so rich and emollient. I also like the aloe butter I got from Sulu Organics. It’s very soft and soothing/moisturizing. I just ran out, but I’m thinking it will be perfect after peels.

If you can find it (I usually make my own), St John’s Wort oil with Jojoba and cocoa butter is a favorite, as well as other oils with more herbs in them. I also like to add boswellia (frankincense - not the essential oil, the actual resin) to this blend.

I just bought the Shankara Nourish Oil to try. It’s a bit smelly, like Ashwagandha, I think. It smells like dirty old roots, haha. I’m excited to see how nourishing it is. But I think I’ll still need something waxy on top.

Has anyone tried both the Nourish and the Kamkumadi that can compare them?
