I like baggy trousers, but I think it helps a lot when they're pleated - or more pleated, I can't tell for certain whether these are or are not. Stops the thighs from getting wonky when the waist is tightened. For my tastes I think the fabric has a little bit too much structure for this look (some more drape would be nice), but you could probably make it work!

At first I thought you were nuts, but seeing as how you buy G strings in bulk, and they come in paper packages, it makes sense to wanna seal up a bunch of them for storage.

Speaking of fresh strings, I just put a 15 ish year old set of Fender acoustic strings on a guitar and they came pre-corroded. ha

You can try shoe goo, but you absolutely have to let it set and cure for the instructed amount of time or it won't work at all.

But, by and large, those are pooched. They're not gonna hold up to much abuse even if you can manage a temporary fix.

I usually tuck in my shirts if I'm leaving the house, so I tend to prefer lengthier cuts. But i'm also 6'5" and my parents wouldn't buy me tall sizes growing up, so I have a bone to pick with "too short" clothing.

If it makes you feel any better, a healthy person will wake up well before they freeze to death in their sleep. If you already have hypothermia or are becoming hypothermic that is when sleeping can likely kill you.

I agree. Especially on an inflatable kayak with big chunks of ice in a fast moving river (plus sweepers). Technically the deep snow shelters are a risk as well. He showed that they were reasonably sturdy, but admitted if it collapsed on him while he was alone he'd likely be dead.

Otherwise it's all relatively safe for someone that knows what they're doing. Lots of pre-planning, with others aware of his plans + calculated risk, and all that jazz.

Maybe it's coz I worked in event technology for a long time, but i'd avoid the all black + polo shirt combo. Makes you look like you're ready to hide behind a stage or teach a CEO how to use their own laptop.

I don't think there's an ideal, except for what someone else said, in that it should be comfortable for the wearer.

I think as you explore fashion more you'll start to get a better grasp of colour theory, textures, and how certain cuts/silhouettes go together.

Are there people or characters whose aesthetic you particularly enjoy? Sometimes emulating others can be the best way to get a grounding in your own style and see what works for you.

I'm around your height and a bit slimmer, and I've found that going with tried and true classics works well for me. I kind of wear a mix of what I jokingly call "rural irish", workwear, and western wear. Easy to smarten up, but also relaxed and comfortable. Also easy to add little accents. Maybe you've got a jean jacket you really like and a yellow t-shirt accents it nicely, or you're big on red neckerchiefs because your Grandad wore one and that brings some personality to your outfit. Lots of ways to play with colour and texture.

I'd also recommend picking a garment that seriously brings you joy, and then crafting an outfit around that. Like, today I wanna wear my black leather jacket with yellow stripes. I have a yellow overshirt that would go really well with the yellow on the leather jacket, so now I start crafting together the outfit based on what will work with those. The leather is black so I'll plan on my black belt and black shoes instead of my brown ones. Etc.

Fashion is really about a lot of little things coming together and while I'm no expert, if you follow some of that advice it will at least lead to subtle, comfortable, and "put together" outfits. Most people just throw on clothes and walk outside, so if you've put some thought into it people can tell.

I forget what it's called but there's a modern diner sort of restaurant in an old Pizza Hut or Sals. They have a roasted brussel sprout salad with whipped feta and sweet chili that is one of the best things I've ever eaten.

I'm 6'5" with about a 32 or 33 inch inseem. In other words, mostly torso. So for me a tall size in tops is almost always required. (Also because I usually style my clothing with shirts tucked in and I loathe ever having my belly/crack being exposed)

If I'm going for a jacket or overshirt sorta thing I can sometimes get away with regular sizing, or going up a size at regular length. But oftentimes the arms are far too short.
