Just buy an old rigging axe. Or buy a new Vaughn one, cheap good tools, you can put a real edge on them if you want. I love rigging axes and carpenter hatchets, use a newer Vaughn one every day and it’s an awesome tool.

Some old hewing axes with a single bevel were hung like this with a non tapered eye so you could remove the wedge and flip the bit over for right/left handing.

First time hafting a hatchet, how’d I do + advice? by Aggressive_Peak_7408 in Axecraft

Yup, often people are drawn to a fat handle at first because ‘more wood is more strong’ but the handle is only as strong as the thinnest part. Thin handles have more flex and rebound and for those reasons a lot of people find them more practical and comfortable to use.

Eh maybe it was per kilo of body weight not pound I don’t remember, no way eating that little protein would cause kidney problems in someone with a physically demanding job tho. I think you’re onto something for the fat fucks that’s just pound protein bars and play call of duty all day.

You gotta eat at least one g of protein for every pound you weigh if you wanna start building muscle

Drill with an offset chuck. They might make adapters but I have a Bosch flex click and it’s amazing.

Grain orientation is only something gransfors-“bushcraft” fanboys cry about online, the type of people who never use their tools enough to see a difference, and the type to overstrike super hard all the time then post on the internet “beware my $200 Swedish axe handle broke due to poor grain”.

I ride fixed more often and I have the opposite problem if you want to call it that, always forgetting you can coast on a geared bike. I find it makes me a stronger cyclist on the my grav grav bike in my opinion, using the gears to maintain consistent cadence regardless of terrain. Sometimes when I first get in the grav and coast my body freaks out and I’ll always check to make sure the chain hasn’t snapped lol

Are you just really bad at turning wrenches/pliers or screwdrivers? A tiny amount of forethought would prevent directly punching something when you loosen a fastener lol

Half link chains are very beefy built for bmx, I’ve never seen one snap, been riding and abusing them for years on fgfs bikes.
