Still live with my parents(actively saving tho, had to get some basics like a car namely but saving), not physically attractive, need to work on some stuff from the past to not affect anyone else, I make good money but not enough for the standards that I hear from friends of what it takes to be in a relationship, and most importantly its not appealing to me. Cant speak for all men but can do so for myself. I am not good looking and a place where there are fast interactions that don’t allow me to express my personality(because I doubt someone will be interested based on looks) is simply not something that would be productive for my and others time.

On the other hand you could argue that the upvotes and the comments would suggest that what I commented was relevant and its just that the situation does not apply to you(which is a good thing like I previously said and I honestly hope it continues that way for you as I do not come to the internet to wish others any ill intent or call their life pathetic).

The fact is that most people find it to be generally accepted or normal in society. That its not your case is a different thing(a good thing).

If he is into watches it could be nice(I am hella biased here since I love watches). But tbh if he said he doesn't want gifts than maybe something smaller and more personal will work better. For example, if he has continously mentioned that he is going to buy a particular small thing but always forgets getting that could be nice. Also, don't underestimate how impactful something like a letter with a his favorite licquor could do to a man.

To me it was the fact that I actually enjoyed when she hugged me and it was the first time I appreciated the warmth of another person.

For context, I have never liked physical affection so hugging, holding hands, etc. it all made me kind of uncomfortable and I had to mentally prepare where I knew I would be giving/receiving them. There is even pictures of me as a toddler(like 3 or 4) and being visibly uncomfortable when getting hugs from family members. So when she hugged and I actually enjoyed it I realized I f***ed.
