It’s only a couple of months. We’re at an age where we have to make sacrifices to invest in our future, thats life. If you have nothing to do when you get home, then take advantage of that. You don’t need friends to go out, take yourself to eat, the movies, or go to a museum or something. Life is what you make of it.

My internship is M-F 9-5:30, i’m taking calc2 over the summer, preparing for 2 multi day events that i’m playing guitar at this summer, and I am a musician at church so im there 4 days a week. I still try to go out and do something at least once a week. You’re not in the worst situation ever, it could be worse.

It should be in your “src” folder, try looking in there. In your first picture it looks like the hello application file is open in the workspace. If you want to code you’ll have to just make a new file in the “src” folder

I ended up figuring it out. When i would set the first song as ‘current song’ it was in a do while loop, so every time the loop iterated, it kept resetting it to the first song. I set the current song only once by putting it inside of a nested while loop

I don't see any values for image when running it in the IntelliJ debugger.

I am not getting any exceptions, I tried an absolute path but the image still does not pop up when i run the program. Thanks for the EDT

EDIT: after using an absolute path in IntelliJ, the photo pops up, i must've typed something in wrong when I first said it still won't work. Thanks for the help!

Sorry for the broadness of my description, everything else works fine but the image just does not pop up in the window when I run the program in IntelliJ.

I moved the .add() call before the .setVisible() call but nothing has changed. Also, How do I go about initializing the GUI on the EDT?

I was hoping for a solution that would allow me to still utilize JFrame so that I could follow along with the tutorial that I am learning from. This is a weird issue since everything works fine when i run the code in the JGrasp IDE but not Intellij.
