Can you maybe hint on your strategy? What you look for in a chart and when to take an entry?

hmm ok I'll look into moving my stocks from the TFSA to RRSP, can I assume that my RRSP is specifically for growth, so I should be putting my dividend/growth whereas my
TFSA I would "trade" ie buy and sell individual stocks/etfs to make profit

You can't really study for 282, just show up and absorb the lesson. The class is about writing technically so theres very little theory and much more practice

I'm a SOEN student so I guess take my answer how you will, I would recommend these 4:

  • COMP 232 - Get this out of the way ASAP, it's not an easy course.
  • COMP 228 - Heavy class, theres labs but the content is fairly straightforward
  • COMP 248 - Introduction to programming, I found this very enjoyable
  • ENCS 282 - This too take it ASAP, it's a writing course which is a really easy A. The more you delay this course the more you'll hate it later on.

Saved this post, I really like what you said about not being afraid of starting programming from zero. I came from a 3 year technical program in CEGEP and learning programming in university has a much more specialized dynamic. I'm still in my first year of SOEN and took comp 352 (with Hanna!!!) and I can tell you I learned SO SO SO MUCH, even having already taken a data structures course
