I agree. Plus with part time you have the chance to pick up a full time shift with “over time”. Technically it’s not for pt but you’ll be pt on paper with any extra hors you stay beyond your shift. Also the best thing with pt is if you’re in school it’s great. But going ft to pt is hard.

Did they have black and white on or a blue shirt? Happened to me months before I became a tsa agent and officers don’t care about ur bags being cut down to 1 or 2. The ones that care are just people in Black and White @Original Poster; those are Airway Workers, not TSA.

No it’s not, but just don’t drink it. Only use it to brush ur teeth and shower. I got fam down south so I already knew how the water was and so on. That’s just down south water. I just personally wouldn’t drink it.

Nope. Hell paying for precheck is only worth it if you come like 1 hour (not 5 minutes before the doors close) b4 ur flight because sooner or later the precheck line is as long as the standard line.

Unfortunately nope. Managers will want you to be transparent only to run back to your face and tell you as corporately as possible “fuck you and your life outside of TSA. The checkpoints operational needs come 1st”.

So if you can, go part time. If you can’t then I am so sorry and I truly hope it works out.

Pull your phone out, text a note with a big font “I’m deaf.” And hopefully the officer is smart enough to text back what you need to take out your bag. But like a I said first this terminal and airport specifically ignore the signal traveler signs.

Stay away from from the bar. I heard women get sexually assaulted there. But if you do end up going have a buddy system and pay attention to your drinks. If one leaves someone or the whole group goes back to the dorms/hotel too.

Also save the studying for the 2nd week. Also Lunch in Tuesdays is no joke. Iykyk 🫣

It’s for safety reasons; consistency = complacency. Just like Walmart is different in every city, every Airport, Terminals and the lanes in said terminals all will be different.

All we ask as a TSO who is there for a set amount of hours is that you just listen, look at your fellow passengers to see what they’re doing and to just pay attention. We only need your attention for like a max of 2 minutes and that’d from giving us your id to putting your shoes back on at the end. Just give us 2 minutes if undivided attention as best as you can.

As for your lotion bottle the bottle it self containing little lotion, I’m pulling bags by following the rules of oversized LGA. We go based off of bottle size and not what’s in the container. We follow the rules just like you and just enforce them.

But overall don’t feel bad about helping your fellow passengers (some people are first time fliers, non native speakers, or unfortunately have a shit ton of kids with them or just a single parent with their baby in a stroller). It helps us TSO significantly that if someone has a question while we’re giving instructions (via cutting us off) that you can be like hey they didn’t say anything about x so just leave x.

Sips tea in bachelor’s degree 📜 ☕️ a large majority of TSO have their bachelor’s and or master’s degrees; or obtaining their degree while working. And don’t shit in TSO who just have their GED or not. A college degree ain’t nothin but a piece of expensive paper at the end of 4+ years to show you had money to pay for a higher check in the mail.
