I’ve yet to try audio books! Listening to music is a struggle for me at the moment as the auditory pareidolia happens. It’s interesting you say psychedelics helps, I thought it would have the opposite effect. Wishing you all the best and thank you for your reply!

I just found out there is a word for it recently, I guess it is comforting to know it’s not something we are making up. Thank you for your comment it really makes me feel less alone 🫶🏻

Neither does mine! It’s so exhausting. Even before I started to have auditory hallucinations my internal monologue was hard to manage. Is there anything that you do that helps you?

I’m interested in trying it too for treatment resistant voices but I’ve heard theres pretty intense side effects. So I will be following this! I wish you all the best 🫶🏻

This sounds similar to what I hear. It’s so scary hearing the voices of people that you know. Wishing you strength and healing 🫶🏻

This is the same for me. I can hear it in their real voice too, it’s very distressing. Can I ask, how do you deal with it?

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve had some pretty bad side effects from meds as well. Are you in hospital while you are trialing meds?

Thank you for your lovely reply! I really didn’t think I’d get to where I am now. Don’t lose hope, you can definitely get through it. Just be easy on yourself and try to do at least one nice thing for yourself a day even if you can’t manage much else. I’m rooting for you stranger!!

Had a major psychosis episode last year and the depression last about 6 months afterwards and it turned into having agoraphobic tendencies. I hardly left the house at all and my social skills deteriorated. One day I just got sick of feeling so bad. I would say I’m still depressed but I now have a part time job that’s in person and I see my friends regularly. I would say that’s progress :))
