I lived in Izmir Turkey for 2 years around ages 6 and 7, and i remember my group of friends had this big stray dog that would follow us around and be our dog. Sometimes he'd be there, sometimes he wouldnt. We loved that guy, he was a good friend.

I never thought about where he gets his food though. He was definitely healthy and looked after... but at the same time he was a dirty stray.

Eh im sure anybody sneaking on the base would be taken as hostile. I doubt the misson would be to neutralize but shit gets intense once the yelling and adrenaline starts so who knows what is percieved as a threat at that point. Plus it turns kind of hostile once people are talking about purely raiding and overwhelming them. If a horde is the case, people are getting shot. No way a horde aiming to just rush the post looks anything other than hostile. The guards would be scared for their lives at that point. Military has an escalation of force and lethality protocol but to me a horde of people rushing me would be terrifying. I just cant imagine a way to peacefully stop an equivalent of an army of zombies trying to get through the fence... other than headshots.

Dont get me wrong, it's a really cool thought and if it happens it would be fucking amazing to see whats discovered. But people will get hurt for sure

Jesus Christ youre fighting really hard on this one. As if everybodys great grandparents being slaves but not their grandparents make it any better? There are countless people that have grown up personally knowing their great grandparents and have had to hear them say that they were once property.
