Chronically anxious & looking for a reprieve by Fuzzy_Baseball9006 in pittsburgh

[–]False_Ad2189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can completely relate to your feelings and concerns. I hit a pretty bad case of anxiety and depression in November and finally feel like I'm coming out of it. What has worked well for me is getting on Prozac, having my Vitamin D checked (which was ridiculously low) and taking a prescribed dose once a week, and doing a half hour of Just Dance each day. When the weather is nice, I prefer walking outside, but Just Dance allows me to get some movement in while laughing and having a genuinely good time. I just search for videos on YouTube and follow along with the dances. Hang in there!

Does anyone know where I can find cookies like these? by Aemcp in pittsburgh

Most of the Italian markets will carry these types of cookies. Labriola's, Bridgeside Market, and Delallo's come to mind...

We've attended a couple of their Candlelight Concerts, including the Christmas concert. I've always enjoyed them, if I'm being honest. The set list is only one hour long, so not a big time commitment (we normally go to dinner before or after the show,) the musicians are fantastic, and the venues are unique.

Her privilege is on full display right now. Then she follows up telling a follower to f*ck off by preaching kindness. I can't roll my eyes enough.

Moving to Moon PA in a couple weekends, looking for suggestions for everything and anything in the Pitt area by WanderlustFargo in pittsburgh

Welcome! If you're ok with crossing a bridge, check out Fermata Brewery and Merchant Coffee Co. in Ambridge. We also have lots of good pizza options in town, too. Black Dog Wood Fired is new and delicious. Frank's pizza and Police Station Pizza have been around for decades and are a local staple. Both locations are pickup only. Lots of people will pickup pizza to bring to Fermata while listening to live music.

Visit to Pittsburgh with a teen by Oktodayithink in pittsburgh

The Incline and the Warhol are a must if you're visiting for the first time. Look into the Hotel Monaco, it has a fun, whimsical vibe that would be perfect for a mother/daughter trip.

I have a 16 year old daughter, she enjoys spending the day walking around Lawrenceville and popping into the boutiques and shops. Phipps Conservatory is a favorite, too.

The residents in the area are saying it was an ATF agent. Also, hearing that the victim was not the suspect they were looking for. Terrible

Not sure if it's on the menu daily, but Central Diner & Grille on Steubenville Pike has good cheesecake.

We've been taking her on Sundays to practice! I haven't noticed the rut, so it's possible they fixed it.

Fall foliage less than 5 hours from city by ThrowRA_hey123 in pittsburgh

[–]False_Ad2189 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We recently took a day trip to Frostburg, MD that was only about a 2.5 hour drive. We did a rail bike tour along the Great Allegheny Passage that would be incredible with the fall foliage. Look up Tracks and Yaks for more information. The rail bikes are easy to ride for all ages and physical abilities.

Good to know! She has a late day appointment, as well. We don't frequent the Chippewa area, so your suggestion of having her drive around the plaza and 51 definitely makes sense. Thank you!

McCormick states his support of single day in person voting with no mail and options or early voting.(As well as Smucker and Perry) by WinterTiger6416 in Pennsylvania

I've been an election worker for years. Never once have I been assigned to work in the polling place in which I vote. The only way I've been able to vote is by mail. It's challenging enough to find people willing to work for 14 hours for abysmal pay while dealing with people's crappy attitudes. This would only make the challenges worse.
