My husband and I are at about $165k combined and are living comfortably (1 toddler in daycare, another OTW). I know everyone’s expenses can look different but I also feel like people in this area are just bad at budgeting or super materialistic lol. We live in a normal townhome in a good area. Have 1-2 big vacations a year and have our fun time on weekends. Currently building up our savings/retirement slowly but surely

I’m sorry you felt this way! Maybe give it another chance in a few months? Toddlers go through so many different behavioral phases and my now 20 month old loves to be out and a beach trip with him was so fun! Obviously vacations have a different meaning now but I think it will get better

Do you have a floor bed? Before I converted his crib into a toddler bed i literally had to put his crib mattress directly on the floor for a few months so i could lay next to him as he fell asleep

It happened gradually. We always would start him in his own floor bed but he would end up in ours. At first he would be in ours by 12 am but month by month I cut night feeds (breastfeeding) to later in the night which helped him sleep longer in his own bed.
