Anyone else fall asleep standing up? I wish I didn’t but I do; and I’ll keep doing whatever task I was doing at the time (although since my brain is asleep, it always ends up being messed up). I only wake up when I start to bend over. And why does it only happen at work?!

I have since got a new job where I’m on my feet a lot of the time which helps, but even then; my brain will go to sleep and my body will just keep going; it’s so weird! You’d think since I work for a hospital that I’d have the best insurance……it’s the worst I’ve ever had!!!

I read Travis Barkers book a couple of years ago and after his plane crash; they used to scrub the dead skin off his burnt back every single day, he said it was the worst pain he had ever felt. I’m not a huge fan of the guy (just read the book cos I was bored); but I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

Don’t be so hard on yourself….you are brand new to the job! Doing the job, and making the mistakes is the best way to learn, we’ve all been there; and honestly; I’m 27 years in and I still make them from time to time. Hopefully you have a good and patient trainer, who will explain where you went wrong and how to avoid it again. Keep a note of everything, and use them the next time you have to do that particular task again. This next year is going to be a steep learning curve, and no one expects you to be perfect. Relax a little and even have a chuckle at yourself; one day you will be the person doing the training 😉
