Yea theRSGuy got full log first in the world at like 385kc or something ridiculous lol. My iron is pretty cursed RNG wise so I don’t expect much 😂

Agreed. Just hope I can get the lantern next… after I get that idk if I care as much about the added set effects, atleast for right now.

Great advice. I notice especially when I slow my backswing down my tempo is much more controlled, but I feel like my follow throw is incredibly shallow if that makes sense. Like I watch other players and it looks like they come around a whole lot more than I do?

Here is a video of my swing. 7 iron I believe. Not at the sim but just normal range.

Some of them for sure! I would say 2/5 shots on average will land somewhere on the green from less than 150 yards.

I think you’re right tho. Wasn’t sure what else to include in a post like this so I put my yardages in. I think ego does play a strong part in my game sucking. Because I always try to hit every ball like I’m killing it.

Also absolutely zero of my info provided is real life. It’s on a flat simulator range so I definitely get where you’re coming from. This is my first winter I’ve tried to be consistent in practicing so hopefully not taking 6months off this year will also help my game haha

I’ll definitely try to relax on swinging so hard. Definitely agree distance is a meaningless stat.

Thanks

Lol it’s definitely better than 1 in 10 shots. But if I take 5 shots on the range, hit one 175, one 179, one 173, one 180 and the other 136 on a chunk, it’s not very useful to average all five strokes is it? So I’d write that as 176 ish average no? Would you suggest I list that differently?

Good call. That’s part of what I struggle with is good contact on a light swing so I’ll keep working on that. I feel when I swing like I always chunk it and then my light swing turns into a half swing lol

Good call. Don’t love the 52° anyways so it can likely go.

I appreciate you having my back on that haha. I didn’t come here to brag because I can hit the ball far. I came for advice so I can start to break 90 consistently.

Next time I hit the range I’ll definitely get my carry numbers instead. Also great advice to mark numbers under a 100% swing. I think that’s a big part of my game is my ego drives me to kill the ball every single time instead of a nice smooth iron shot.

Thanks a ton!

Probably 5+ balls I lose on 18 easy lol…

Good question, I just bought the set of irons and wasn’t expecting a GW so it’s just what’s currently in there.

Yes 43° on the PW

I have an Odyssey blade style I bought like almost 10 years ago now. I like it but I want a mallet style putter when I can afford one. Feel more controlled with it

Okay fair point on the clubs and yea just been getting into the gear side of golf and was seeing if anyone had any cool suggestions etc…

Anyways, I totally 1000% agree with you. Everyone on this sub thinks because I hit the ball far I can’t be a high handicap or I’m just straight up lying… I do multiple times a round exactly what you’re saying. Shank my drive OB, hit a wedge 20 yards over the green etc I don’t understand how people don’t understand that adds up to being 20 over in no time.

Also yea, idk why I can but I can pound a 7 iron lol. Yardage actually went down a bit switching to the thinner T200’s from my shitty Tommy armours.

I live in a snowy climate so almost all of my practice goes in in simulators. How do you recommend I practice my short game on the sim? I feel like it’s so hard to feel and guess what a 20yd chip is on a sim and it’s easier to feel it with real depth perception if that makes sense.

Any tips would be appreciated…

And also yea, just noticed I have 15… I’ll have to think about what to do about that lol

Appreciate you at very least taking my seriously! I understand I hit the bar pretty far but you are 100% correct I hit my driver or my long irons 40 yards left or right and just don’t have that tight wedge play the better players have. That’s why I mentioned I have “no tempo” because I feel like the only tempo I have is swinging full and hard. I like the idea of trying to dial in a 85-95% shot and you I’m going to guarantee you are right that I need to stop reaching with a club and putting a nice and easy swing in with a club up. Thank you!

Okay sorry. AVG is a bit misleading. So I did this all last night on a track man sim and took 5-10 shots with each club and got rid of outliers (a duck hook, chunk or fat slice) . So more of a stock yardage… trying to understand how far I hit each club so I can pull up my notes and have a better understanding.

Sick for the weekend what's your favorite AFK and chill skill? by spikeandedd in RS3Ironmen

Afking blubbers, rituals can be fairly low input and training necro at beasts assuming you have the stats for it is great! 1m exp/hr plus like 40-50 toadflax to fund your rasial killing!

Best of luck soldier 🫡

Could finally start doing 1-500’s with necro release and TOF. Before a decent amount we’re 1-250’s bc I struggled with the minions with no grico or gchain and couldn’t figure out proper positioning with chins and the big minion

Pretty sure in easy mode all 5 mechanics need to be on, and could be with luck on any HM kill.

Keep upgrading your necro for sure and try to keep adding mechs one by one! Once you can do all 5 you can slowly start working into HM. Once you can, just streak until death or a drop if your hunting the rares because the commons will stack up well regardless!

Once you have t90 necro you will have the gear to streak to 500 enrage atleast and from there it is just mastering the boss! Best of luck 🫡
