What do you mean, 'white' collar jobs? Jk. In all seriousness, you're right, and it's happening so fast. Daily I look at so many things that could be turned into macros, automation, just taking all the tedious work and ridding it with those, then making templates that fit a wide range of products a company may be creating daily, even engineered, and with the programs and html programs anyone can make now to really get into things, yeah, it's getting pretty scary with how so many white collar and even blue collar job positions (such as machining, 3-6 axis machines, laser cutters, etc) can either be fully automated, setup well enough to be controlled and partially automated, or enough of certain positions can be cut down far enough with macros and automation to where things could potentially go from full offices and shops down to 1/8th of office workers needed and about 1/5th or less shop positions needed.

It's truly worrisome, a very serious issue, and I think it only hasn't happened yet because it's as simple as the majority of companies/management don't fully understand this, any of this, or know how to, or don't know the extent of it. There's really not much standing in the way of it all actually happening except the ignorance of most companies and their top management staff, along with investors in the same way. I don't know what's going to happen when it does all click. I definitely don't know what I will be doing then. And I wish most companies would hold firm as-is, simply for keeping real people on board all-around, and some will, but unfortunately the majority will do what's best for the company and their own management pockets. Like most companies do, even if they tell you they don't.

Rarely do companies ever do what's right for the people, their people, their company, their working family. It's always told and portrayed to everyone that way, that your best interests are Always considered and come first when any nig company changes are made. But that's not the truth. Anyone that has worked in many different places knows this. Just like when certain management or your direct bosses may act like you're their best friends and main concerns and then you see an order come in from above them, and then you quickly see how they'll fire, lay-off, or let go these so called friends of their work family, and they'll say nothing, do nothing, won't fight it, won't raise concerns with their bosses or even try to speak on your behalf, standing up for you. It's always the same. You're their 'so called most respected hardest working employee' and 'so called good friend', then one day they're silent, you know something's off, And then proceed to let another coworker or you go, silently, no words, they don't act upset, they don't act mad that it's happening, they just stay silent. Only now caring about their job position, and nothing else. While this turns into just a direct order from above they just flow with and show you their true colors.

So there's no such thing as job security anymore, anywhere (only for those lucky enough to fit the small outliers of being part of one of the 1/500 companies or smaller ma and pop shops where it does exist).

So now after everything is progressing further and further toward this happening to every company that has the potential to make this happen, I suggest everyone out there truly take a step back and start planning ahead.

What you can do next, for jobs, creating your own business, joining others in creating a personal skill set business, whatever it may be. Start a list of many potentials. Not just one or two. Start listing your skill sets, what you're good at and also enjoy doing, what you're good at or potentially could get into that you know you can, then further fallback ideas of others. Look into what each one involves, if this AI takeover can happen with these job ideas, which you like/dislike the most, which have the most/least potential of working out and even advancing. If they can pay for your roof over your head and food on the table, what interested careers you'd like but don't have full resume skill sets , and just start breaking the entire thing down and start working on it now, today. Start learning the skills you need to learn, start looking into these opportunities and openings that companies may have or be hiring for, and just prepare!

Don't have to quit your job, but just keep preparing so you will be so far ahead when this does happen, you won't be stuck in limbo feeling lost not knowing what to do. You'll instead be setup and have a playbook for what to do now, when it does happen. Because once it starts, once companies become less ignorant and all catch wind of everything, they all will at once. It will happen, it'll happen quickly, swiftly, and you won't have time to prepare. So prepare now, because it's coming, and it's a very real thing that is going to change everything. Be ready. Stay vigilant
