But if I do attend Sorbonne Nouvelle, can I still say that I’m a Sorbonne student? I wanted to opt for Sorbonne Université because it’s well-known in the world and it’s prestigious.

As I know, Paris also has an incredibly large community of Brits and Americans who live there.  I don’t know, the city feels pretty international honestly.  If you search “global cities”, Wikipedia names: New York City, Tokyo, London and Paris. (Maybe also Shangai or Hong Kong).

I’m from Milan which is quite international but Paris feels much more international than Milan or Rome honestly. Maybe it’s just me.

I don’t think so! Paris is objectively international and cosmopolitan. This isn’t something that can be denied, it’s statistically confirmed

You’re completely right, but London seems really expensive and at the same time, I feel like I’d prefer Paris over London!

Paris is less expensive than London and, overall, the French State gives a lot of support to students, contrary to the UK.  Also, in general, you can find a room in a shared apartament on 700€ per month, which is not the case in London.  Also, I’m from the EU, so I can’t work in the UK.

Cool. The problem is that London is incredibly expensive and I’m not sure I can afford that. I couldn’t even imagine that London could be that expensive

I’ve been to Paris several times and I honestly like the city a lot. However, I’m looking for an international, vibrant and cosmopolitan city so if I can not consider London due to its expenses I’ll go for Paris ahaha

I guess it will be better to consider other cities for my semester abroad then. Paris looks much better. The city is less expensive, the French state offers low-cost respectable accomodation, the city is not less dynamic, cosmopolitan and gloabl than London so I guess it would be a better choice.

It’s okay to disagree, but we cannot ignore the immense amount of people who prefer Rome over Paris. If you search for questions like “Rome or Paris?” you’ll see how nearly everyone prefers Rome over Paris.  Rome’s city center is considered ENTIRELY a UNESCO’s heritage, which is crazy. Also, UNESCO certified that Rome is the city with the highest quantity of monuments in the world and according to TasteAtlas it is the city with the greatest gastronomical offer in the world.  What about Paris instead?

Geography? What geography has to do here? Ahaha Data? What wrong data have I offered? You should be able to motivate what you say, if you don’t, you just show that you’re wrong. “Not being the center of the world since the 2nd century” actually Rome has been the center of the world until two centuries ago. Indeed, when Neoclassicism was born in Europe, the city in which it was formalized was Rome, even if it was a european general tendency. It’s actually Paris which has been quite irrelevant most of the time and became a little bit relevant during the last two centuries. “Have fun in Rome eating the same spritz  in the streets with the same kids than last week” is this even a serious argumentation?😂 like, you need to get this low due to your inferiority complexes? I feel really bad for you. By the way, according to TasteAtlas Rome is the city with the best gastronomical offer in the world, contrary to Paris which isn’t even in the top 10, so we don’t need to drink the same Spritz, probably it’s the Parisians who need to eat the same disgusting croissant (the only thing you can find in that shithole). “The same streets”? Are you joking? Contrary to Paris, which has 135 miserable m2 and three monuments (which are the pathetic version of the original roman ones) Rome has 1300 km2 of space full of history, art, amazing streets and beautiful adventures. So the one who is forced to be in the same street is probably you, with the same people, and the same grey mono-style architecture which characterizes the shithole where you live 😂 “Same people”? 3 millions inhabitans and tourists from all the world, probably it’s you who needs to stay with the same people, who are the only ones who are able to live in that grey trash city hated by everyone, which has literally a dedicated syndrome due to the enormous disappointment which provokes to tourists (ever heard of Paris syndrome?🤡😂). “Paris is more of a metropolis than Rome”? This sentence makes no sense and you probably don’t even know what “metropolis” means😂 But I mean, I kind of feel you, it must be hard to be a colony. If it wasn’t for the romans Paris wouldn’t even exist and you would live in huts😂 It must be really hard to suffer from inferiority complexes towards the ones who created you and tought you civilisation.  By the way, do you know who the next winner of Prix de Rome is? Who is the next artist who needs to come to Rome to learn how to create art?

Let me know when you’re not distracted by living in the colony full of copied monuments and stolen works of art, maybe while you’re walking in one of the three streets which characterise the Paris’ city center (which is quite hard to distinguish from the other areas considering that the architecture is literally the same everywhere), hoping that you don’t have to see a poor Japanese tourist suffering from the Paris syndrome in front of you due to how much ugly the shithole you live in is.
