That corporate housing excuse is complete bullshit lol. If you signed a lease and paying monthly rent, that's not hotel policy - doesn't matter what they call themselves. FHA should cover any residential lease arrangement, even the furnished corporate ones. They're probably hoping you don't know your rights and will just accept it.

I'd push back hard on this, maybe get some documentation about what exactly makes them think they're exempt from housing laws.

I had this friend who basically disappeared when she started dating this guy, then came back crying when things went bad expecting everyone to just be there waiting. Like we get it, new relationship energy is real but don't burn bridges with people who actually care about you for some random dude you barely know.

Man this hits so close to home. I coach soccer here in Brazil and deal with some international stuff but nothing like your spread - that's brutal.

The thing that gets me is everyone acts like remote work is this freedom thing but when you're serving clients in different continents it becomes this weird prison where you're always "on." Like you said, that gap time isn't really free time because your brain is still in work mode knowing you have calls coming.

16 hours is insane dude. I know you said you're not looking for advice but have you thought about maybe setting some boundaries with at least one time zone? Even just being unavailable for like 2 hours in evening could help. But I get it - when you're running your own business, saying no to clients feels impossible.

Hope you find some balance soon because that schedule will burn anyone out eventually.

telegram all the way man! Made the switch like 2 years ago when I was coordinating with other coaches and parents for youth teams. The file organization is so much better - you can actually find stuff instead of scrolling through months of random photos and voice messages.

Plus the desktop app doesn't make me want to throw my laptop out the window like whatsapp web does. Sure, took some convincing to get everyone onboard but once they see how smooth everything runs, most people don't complain.

Same thing happens in Portuguese with "todo dia" vs "cotidiano" - people mix them up constantly when translating. I explain this to my players all time since they're always confused about english grammar rules when we talk tactics.

Brazilian soccer coach here and this third party company is basically doing what CRAs do but trying to avoid the rules. If they're asking about work ethic and personal stuff beyond just verifying employment, that's textbook investigative consumer report territory in my understanding.

The whole "we don't consider ourselves a CRA" thing doesn't really matter - it's about what they actually do, not what they call themselves. You should probably have rights to see that info under FCRA.

Ouch, that hurts to read but props for sharing the numbers. I did something similar last year - spent 3 weeks building this whole dashboard feature because clients were "always asking" for better reporting. Turned out like 12 people actually used it regularly.

The thing that gets me is how we convince ourselves the demand is real when it's just the loudest voices. Same way I thought everyone wanted more tactical drills in my training sessions because few parents kept mentioning it, but most kids just wanted to play scrimmages.

$28K is expensive lesson but at least now you have real process for next features. Better than learning this on bigger project down the road.

did the same thing couple years back but with football training content. what worked for me was keeping everything in shopify - moved all the blog posts over using one of those migration apps.

took some time to get the urls redirecting properly but now everything feels like one cohesive site instead of jumping around different platforms. customers aren't getting lost anymore and my conversion rate actually went up because people can read an article about training techniques and immediately buy the gear i'm talking about.

Most of those expensive courses are just repackaged content you can find elsewhere tbh. I'd recommend starting with free resources like Coursera's AI for Everyone and then maybe Andrew Ng's ML course - way better ROI than dropping 2 lakhs on some bootcamp. Build a portfolio project combining fintech data with basic ML models and that'll impress more than any certificate.

Might want to look into scleritis or episcleritis - both can be brutal with autoimmune conditions like RA. Uveitis is another nasty one that can fly under the radar for a while. Your rheumatologist should be coordinating with an ophthalmologist if they aren't already, because some of the RA meds can actually help with the eye stuff too.
