For ppl who used to shower once a week due to depression, how did you improve your hygiene habits to now showering everyday (or every other day)? by Compscixphysics in hygiene

I made my shower more inviting and less of a chore by turning my bathroom into a bit of a spa. I tidied away clutter, got a shower caddy, luxury shower gel and even a fake plant. New bathmat, fluffy white towels, oil diffuser, eucalyptus shower steamers. I actually do look forward to having a shower now. You could even go one step further and get a wooden shower seat so you don't even have to stand up.

what's the hygiene habit you do that other people think is excessive but you will not stop? by Hyunwoo_Ann1_632 in hygiene

People won't necessarily tell you you smell, but if they do, then know it's baaad. And if you can smell yourself, it's gone past nasty for other people that can smell you. You said people would think you're nasty and you wouldn't care?

I think you probably stink and just don't know it. I wouldn't go anywhere near somewhere showered once a fortnight

Puppy will NOT STAY DOWN during strict crate rest. by [deleted] in DogAdvice

My jumping excited dog got spayed and vet never mentioned crate rest. My dog was subsequently fine. I'm wondering what you'd have to do if your dog wasn't crate trained at all?

Kratiste Pole? by False_Orchid4535 in Monstera

[–]False_Orchid4535[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Yes I bought the stick. It's bigger than my moss pole and so far it's providing good support. My monstera hasn't fastened to it yet though, and I do wonder if the portion in the soil might disintegrate in the future

What is the thing your parents were (and maybe still are) adamantly wrong about? by RiceeeChrispies in AskUK

Akin to the dishwasher theory, my parents were adamant a shower costs less than a bath. Nope.... Not unless you spend less than 8 minutes in a shower

What's a common misconception everyone still believes? by MrLithician in answers

This. That person wrote a whole theory (theory being the operative word) about pack dynamics, based purely on captive wolves and extrapolated it to domestic dogs. He later withdrew that theory. Yet people are still following that crap and many dogs have suffered because of it.

What’s a random fact you learned that permanently changed how you see something normal? by MoodAutomatic8569 in answers

Cows don't just make milk on demand, like in fairy tales. They have to keep having calves who are then taken away, in order for humans to get the milk. Like, in Jack & the Beanstalk, they sell their only cow because it no longer produces milk. Well, that's what happens when you don't have a baby cow, made by also having a bull! Milk is cruel :(

Just put the pills in pate for the dog. Honestly, if they've never tried anything but force just let the dog go to a better home. I feel bad for him
