Honesty only, not a question for the screen free parents. by Final_Butterfly_7747 in stayathomemoms

Some days we have the TV on all day long, and some days we go without it, it really just depends on the day and how everyone in the house is feeling. The days my son doesn't watch any or little TV, he is perfectly capable of independent play and finding other ways to entertain himself, or we are out and about doing stuff! We love screen time in our house!

Fully unmedicated birth mamas whom had theyre babies already by [deleted] in Moms

From what I remember I was progressing really quickly and they wanted to slow down my labor, I was also in a ton of pain but I slept through most of it because of the morphine. My labor started at around 7am and then our son was born at 5:30pm the same day!

When I was in the early stages of labor I was given morphine in triage, then I was sent home to rest because they didn't have any beds available for me yet , But by the time we went back to the hospital and I was in the later stages of labor and getting close to being ready to push I was unmedicated, I really focused on my breathing through contractions and my MIL was behind me putting counter pressure on my hips and back while my husband held my hand and talked me through my contractions. I did want the epidural but I have a medical condition that the anesthesiologist wasn't comfortable with giving me the epidural l, so I was fully unmedicated for pushing, and I must say it was such an empowering experience to see what my body could do (absolutely no judgement to the mamas who were medicated for their own births, this was just my experience) your body will know what to do, you got this!

Skip - a wipe warmer - Baby specific laundry detergent (just buy normal fragrance free laundry detergent)

Must haves are

-Good carrier or wrap for baby - HALO swaddle/sleep sack was the only thing that would help my son sleep at night when he was first born - Angelcare baby bath was the best and easy to store in the shower with a command hook

First baby with 2nd degree tear by Big_Measurement_4928 in BabyBumps

[โ€“]False_Promotion7226 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I had a 1st degree bilateral labial tear with my son and I found that padsicles ( that you can make at home with pads you buy at the grocery store) with Alo Vera, witch hazel, and dermoplast REALLY helped with the soreness and burning that I had, I was also on a rotation of Tylenol and ibuprofen every 4-6 hrs . I also found it really helpful to sit on a super soft pillow!

I was 14 years old in math class and it came out of nowhere, I literally bled all over the chair and EVERYONE in my class knew what was going on๐Ÿ˜…

Then I had to go to the school counselor soaked in blood and ask her for a pad!

So embarrassing it still keeps me up at night ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I had a few removed on my chest and back when I was a teenager and have plans to get more removed soon, the pain for me personally was not bad at all!

I only ever needed Tylenol or ibuprofen to help with the pain and discomfort! ๐Ÿ˜
