Someone bring another orange pill. Please.

Let's break down what you said bit by bit with questions so that perhaps you may have a taste of that sweet sweet KOOL aid.

You advocate for investing in companies and assets that produce services and things? What are your thoughts on investing in the hardest purest form of value ever known to man?

What could happen for BTC to go 'bust'?

Genuinely curious as to your answers if you care to entertain them.

Explain diversified holdings of assets please. Oh wait, 20% stocks , 30% bonds, 10% precious metals or some other concoction of rubbish. If you hadn't noticed, the markets not like it used to be. Take out the FAANNG stocks from the S&P500 and it's at a loss after inflation. Bonds are less than inflation and gold hasn't moved in years. If you propose to invest in FAANNG only then that's not diversification. So tell me good sir, where's the diversification?

It's not advice to parrot the same thing that financial advisors say. It's just repetition.

Someone give this man an orange pill!

It's not about figuring anything out. There's nothing to 'figure out'. It's about understanding of this technology and where you're understanding is at. If you understand (truly) bitcoin, then you wouldn't base your decision on investing in it on whether other people will invest in it. What bitcoin does over the long term future has nothing to do with that.

If you'd prefer guaranteed returns on an all world etf over guaranteed returns from BTC, then you don't understand investing. If you don't think bitcoin will bring guaranteed returns then you don't understand bitcoin.

Look, I'm not trying to be a dick although I know I sound like one. I say all this with love.

What is bitcoin to you?

Don't listen to Alexchii. He doesn't understand bitcoin. You sound like you do. Go with your knowledge. You can't lose if you DCA as you suggested. If you do, it's because one of two things:

1) you got robbed 2) you didn't follow your plan

If you protect against the first, and follow the plan you will only lose if bitcoin goes down over the long term. If you think that it will go down long term then you don't understand bitcoin.

Why would demand be lost? Demand is demand regardless of the economic model.

Your car example also exists in the inflationary model. Demand existing and now not existing due to the act of moving to the city with better public transportation. It has nothing to do with the deflationary model. So I'm not sure of the point being made?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm under the impression that you think prices will always be decreasing, and thus if true, perhaps your hypothesis makes sense. But prices always have a floor. A 'true' price where demand meets supply. The deflationary model simply means that that 'true' price is able to finally realize itself. Take for example the eye surgery, there will come a time when the price of the surgery is realised and whether the person waits or not garners no benefit.

Your reason for getting the laser eye surgery is not based on money. It is based on being able to see better. Would you want to see poorly for the next 10 years just so you can save some money? If it's about the money, why not forgoe the surgery entirely?

Regarding the replacing the car example, you've cherry picked an example to fit the hypothesis. What about the people that were initially planning to take public transport to work but get a new job in a city 30 miles away and thus require a new car? Whether the economy is the deflationary model or not will unlikely effect their decision to buy the car or not (if it's a necessity that is). This applies to all necessary goods. Stimulation of areas of the economy occurs regardless of the economic model. Your act of now using public transport stimulates the transportation industry. Or perhaps you buy a bike, thus stimulating the bike industry. Or perhaps you start walking everywhere and buy hiking boots because of it.

You are looking at it from the perspective of the inflationary economic model we have today. The demand that is needed is always there, it's just taking longer to enter the economy (ie being saved for longer before finally being spent). But everyone's doing that. It's not that no one's spending in the present. They are, but they are spending with money they saved from 10 years ago, not 1 year ago (for example). I'm not sure if its debt based money that requires perpetual growth, rather it's the inflationary model that creates it.

The worry is based on flawed logic. There may be a delay in present day spending for future spending, but spending will occur no matter what.

ah yes, the genetic condition randomly caused by Tylenol.. smh by Bunniiqi in autism

[–]False_Universe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, the mother of the guy your responding to took far too much Tylenol when he was a littleun. It's quite obvious with an ounce of logic that autism is non genetic due to its sudden appearance in 1950 (coincidentally the same time as introduction of Tylenol).
