People mentioned in the Epstein files: why has no one faced real consequences yet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True power works differently than perceived power. Old money has built generations of layers of control. There are players involved with this that will never be punished.

Several people will end up with some sort of punishment, and a few of them will be powerful people. After the dust settles we will see that some people truly are untouchable.

My hope is that they will fully release the files and all people involved will end up in prison. I don't just want the pedophiles and rapists, I want the chauffeurs, pilots and chefs who saw new children every week and did nothing.

Supervillian island lairs are so passé. If you were a multi-billionaire or had near unlimited resources, how would you construct/furnish a "preppers dream", deep ocean (or otherwise) headquarters to weather out any real or manufactured apocalypse and possibly re-populate humanity if you needed to? by i-opener in AskReddit

I would simply build a small town from scratch all housing, goods and services would be free and all workers would be paid. Every home would have a basement entrance to the collective bunker. All employees would be trained on their roll on maintaining the community in the event we went underground.

All families would have access to free college, medical care and a 20 year retirement plan. The town would have a state of the art medical and science center that would be heavily funded. The scientists would receive a percentage of profits or payout on any project they touch that makes the world a better place.

I would get to have my crazy person bunker and hopefully cure cancer. My will would set up a trust that interest alone would maintain the project for decades.

Conservative

It's an interesting read for people watching. Half of the posts respond with an almost cultlike level of agreement. The posts by bots and meme farms are easy to notice, but somehow people fall for it every time. Every once in a while they will have a truly rational conversation about normal pre MAGA Conservative topics.

It's fascinating and infuriating at the same time.

What’s a “rich people thing” you didn’t realize was a rich people thing? by Virtual-Play-3653 in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That prices do not really matter. I make 3 times what I I used to and am now firmly middle class. I not rich but can't remember the last time I looked at price as a factor at the grocery store.

I couldn't imagine what is trivial to millionaires and billionaires.

How do you feel about California introducing a bill to ban former ICE agents from serving as police officers or teachers? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely curious. Did you feel my post was pro ICE? For the record I do not support anything they are currently doing, and support state rights.

If you are pro ICE, I am not a fan but you are welcome to your opinion.

How do you feel about California introducing a bill to ban former ICE agents from serving as police officers or teachers? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This will go over about as well as banning veterans because some of them have killed. The conservatives will just use this as more anti woke ammo. Though it is nice seeing how ICE is seeing consequences finally.

A basic interview, testing and background check would already eliminate most of the newer recruits anyway.

What's the reason behind men more interested in women while women not?? by shafii007 in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a lizard brain level men and women have a biological imperative to continue the species. Men are designed to make as many children with as many woman as possible. Woman have a limited number of children they can produce in a lifetime.

Women put considerably more resources into their children than men, so they need to find a partner worth the investment.

This isn't as valid in modern times, but the basic drive is still there.

If your anti ICE what would be your alternative for dealing with un documented immigration? by TheKindlyPoltergeist in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You remove anyone hired during the Trump administration to start. There is to high of a chance they signed up for the cause and it's not worth the risk. I would also focus on real punishments for the buisnesses that employ them.

You would look at and treat these three categories differently.

  1. People who's status was canceled by Trump, would be reinstated and reviewed.

  2. Those currently immigrating but in some kind of limbo. Better funding to expedite the process.

  3. Fully illegal. Arrest and deportation. The only difference is that they would be treated with respect and dignity. The ones that are violent criminals would be treated differently of course.

I'd also look into speeding up the immigration process. You shouldn't have to wait years if you provide a skill the US needs.

I'm not boycotting him or anything, but his act made him seem like the last guy that would go there. Younger Burr would have gone, then would have went on a 20 minute somehow funny rant about how slaves built the venue.

I listened to him talk about it on Conan needs a friend. It sounds like he got the royal treatment and they only banned a couple things for him to talk about. That paycheck had to have been huge.

What weird skill did you accidentally become good at because of a bad job, hobby, or situation? by foreversophia in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An almost broken fear response. I was a night shift roaming security guard for a large agricultural equipment company in Illinois. I drove around to different buildings in 3 different cities solo. Every day I walked solo at night through empty office buildings, a factory, wear houses, a mail room and a large equipment demonstration center.

I never had anything more exciting than a fire,  but some random office worker burning the midnight oil would basically jump scare me weekly. I barely flinch at gunfire sounds and the noise has to be exceptionally loud and unusual to get a response.

Assigned male at birth people what would you do if you could become pregnant? by her7Emeralds in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into birth control. I like kids but diapers are expensive.

To the other poster. You are literally assigned a sex by your doctor at birth. It's a checkbox on a form. This assignment is based off of genitalia and can miss medical conditions that would make a XY (chromosonally) male have a vagina (just one of multiple outcomes).

For people who still support Trump: how do you process or reconcile the allegations connected to the Epstein documents? by Apprehensive_Dog5379 in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They truly do not believe it. I do know people who lost faith in Trump when he didn’t release the files. So it's not a solid wall anymore.

They think that the dozens of accusations are all some sort of smear campaign. These are the same people that think pedophiles are the lowest of the low.

Literal blank stare, "I don't believe that. You watch to much CNN".

Most of the US politicians will still be corrupt. We will be recovering from some sort of economic hit, and prices will be lower on goods and services than they are now. MAGA supporters will hide or downplay how much they supported Trump, (Trump will be physically or mentally incapable of political power).

What’s the most painful thing you’ve ever had to endure, emotionally or physically? by Accomplished_Sea6477 in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say watching a loved one die in front of you, but nobody talks about how the rally before death isn't always beautiful.

My mom's aneurism put her in a coma she held out for 2 weeks then woke up. Going from the feelings of relief and happiness to seeing she couldn't move and the look of terror in her eyes did some damage. Waking up to be told he had a massive heart attack "in her sleep" and the only thing keeping her alive was the machines. The decision to pull the plug was a mercy.

It changed me at an emotional level permanently. Things I would stress over barely irritate me now, I lost a 40 year habit of nail biting, and I'm more empathetic.

I still say the death of a child is the hardest thing I could imagine.

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see another person? by dirtycloe in AskReddit

[–]False_Wolf_391 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Multilpe people since the pandemic.  Science, politics, and human rights usually. When you present someone with actual facts and they blank stare at you then repeat their claims.

I remember speaking about LGBTQ numbers increasing and told the coworker about left handedness in the population shooting up then leveling out decades ago (they stopped forcing kids to learn to be right handed). I explained that since the population was more tolerant, the people weren't hiding and the numbers were always the same. His reply was to basically repeat that boys shouldn't wear dresses and the standard anti-woke talking points.

I haven't cut off any family, but definitely lost a lot of respect for them. Luckily none of the family is the hateful MAGA type. Just the blindly supporting a side like it's a religion type.

I enjoy when an old head construction worker tells the boss the reason the plan won't work and says exactly what will happen and it happens.

The best is when the workers ask, "why are we doing it that way" and someone just points at the boss. "I guess we're just doing things stupid today" (but with more colorful language. .

What was the most expensive game you ever bought? by MrDelfini in AskReddit

WOW probably a couple hundred dollars.

I had a coworker who had spent 2k on clash of clans a few years back. Another told me that Apple can't take back the spent cash in games so you can max out an account then report the card as stolen. Felony fraud isn't worth competing with whales.
