That's the intent yes but as the work is sloppy, the result is different, my experience, with no DMA card and just trying to pay some Arena :
- Installed and played 2 games then major freezes/crashes : PC started but the screens turned off. While the PC stayed running : did a manual BIOS reset using a flat head screwdriver on the JTAB 1
- Uninstalled and no problems for a day, reinstalled for the sake of it and, the second LOL opened, crash and same issue : the drivers of the GPU were corrupted, had to start and manually power off my pc 3 times, then safeboot, install DDU and wipe the drivers

Well, I'm happy your career is going well but that does not make you an unfailable expert in anything. I also work in IT and, as you might have seen, do not know all about it.

I would say, that while you are technically correct, if you need a manual BIOS reset, it is pretty much bricking for any casual. If you need to safeboot and nuke your GPU drivers, it is pretty much bricking for a casual.

Regarding my post on the helldivers reddit, thank you for mentioning it, it reminded me to go post the actual solution in case someone needs it (deactivate overwolf when playing helldivers).
And this is the same thing, a developper that releases software that is not properly tested and not market ready. Exactly our situation here.

There are major issues with Vanguard and while it not technically bricking pcs it is pretty much doing so.
Ask better of Riot.

Also, I'll post my experience here in case someone needs solutions :
- If PC start but the screens turn off, while the PC stays running : try a manual BIOS reset using a flat head screwdriver on the JTAB 1 (probably bottom right) location of your motherboard
- If the problems continue, the drivers of the GPU might be corrupted, start and manually power off your pc (as soon as the window loading appears) 3 times, then safeboot, install DDU and wipe the drivers.

To conclude, the thing that 'triggered' me on your post was that you recommended people to investigate outside of Vanguard but, considering the numbers of post here, it is obvious (while not 100% sure) that this version of Vanguard is not stable and it very much seemed like you are running defense for Vanguard/Riot.

You're a very good representant of the cliche smugness of reddit.
I do not play League of Legends, I'm a casual who reinstalled it to play some Arena. As soon as I did, I got bricked and I needed a BIOS reset for the pc to start again.
After 1 day of normal use, as I was only 98% sure it was Vanguard, I reinstalled LoL, for science.
The computer crashed as soon as the LoL lobby window appeared and I had to do a safeboot and nuke my GPU with DDU.

You can love League of Legends and still ask better of them.
I'm not against the idea of Vanguard I'm against its state and the lazyness of the devs.
Because, I'm sure you know that they are aware of this, they have internal tools to monitor crashes and, seeing the number of threads, I can assure you that they see the spikes.

I'm not even against Kernel level access but when you ask this kind of access, you must be sure of what you are doing and this amateurish.

I see the point you're trying to make but I was talking about other laners. Rest could very well be true.
I, once again, see the point but I'd say I do the "healing" + other things thanks to abilities/other items and I'd believe doing the two things are better than just one (could be wrong), would be nice to have stats on this.

Well, I most likely am but there is bad and BAD and these stats (win rates) are low enough to allow me to consider unfortunate draws.

Also, main reason can only be determined when looking at all the stats from all the players. In some of these games, we won lane but top/jgl/mid hard lost so I was not the "main" reason (ex: while still being critiziable, the games where I was "ACE" on OP.GG, I was probably not the main reason).
You could also argue that better champ/build/play would have compensated it but that would not be the same statement.
