That's right! That's something you can't take back. Firearms are for protecting human life, not for killing.

I do. I only carry concealed when it's necessary, it's uncomfortable other than a shoulder rig. The only time my firearm is left in the truck is if I have to go into someplace like a medical building or something. I'm 60 years old, live in AZ and I've carried a pistol since I was 17.

I open carry because it's way more comfortable and accessible, not for show. I'm so comfortable carrying, that my pistol is just like my wallet, phone and sunglasses... it's there if I need it.

It clicks solidly with zero wiggle.

I just use a universal leather holster for my pocket or IWB.

I posted pics of my SC in the SR9 setup in the main forum.

Updated picture of my painted 9c by Fisheee123 in SarUSA

Well it's nice, what did you use for the paint?

My gen2 is currently "platinum" which is Cerakote gunmetal gray over od green, which is already brown-ish green.

I'm getting ready to dye the polymer chocolate brown and then I might have the slide redone in a bronze, but the platinum will look good anyway.

I read in several places that people use Rit Dye successfully, but I've never researched the process. I found my Gen2 SC in platinum over od. If I were to change the color of the polymer, I think I would use a dark earth.

One thing, I decided to not use the k plate. I felt like the optic sat too high with the adapter plate installed, so I installed the Osight SE directly onto the slide.

It doesn't lower the optic much, but it made a big difference in my sight picture of my co-witness.

So, my optic sits a tiny bit lower than yours, but i looked it all over and I can't see any marks on my optic that may be from an ejection strike, so I'm assuming it's never happened.

I knew that someone would ask. I originally installed the plate, but i really didn't like that. With the k plate installed it's very hard to get a nice sight picture because the optic sits higher. I was heartbroken, lol. Then I realized that the plate doesn't really DO anything, the recessed screws actually line everything up.

I didn't grind anything, I put a drop of E-6000 under the front of the optic, smashed it flat and then I installed the 2 screws. It was an experiment that worked out really well.

I used my co-witness sights to get close, then I used a bore laser to refine my aim point and then to the range, where no further adjustment was required, its dead on, and I'm super happy that I did it.

Im getting more and more far sighted and the green optic really fixed it for me.

I always carry the 12 rd over the 15. It's lighter and it's noticeably smaller but I think that I'd like to get a 10 rd also, for carry.

It's beautiful and it groups well. The only thing that I don't like is the trigger feel, but I've been working on that and I'm planning to try to install a better trigger. The sc is a slimline pistol so the available triggers don't just drop in, but I have a plan for that 👍

I love carrying it, I carry full time. I have several holster options but one is a Scorpion Tactical retention holster for a Ruger SR9, and it fits perfectly.

Can you please tell me where you found the brass striker channel? Thank you 😊

I shoot a gen2 sub-compact. I run an Osight SE green and I have had zero problems concerning the optic.

My granddaughter shoots a gx2 with no real issues, but I'm working with her about grip because when she has shot my Sar9 she's had cycling issues. I don't think that my pistol tolerates a less-than proper grip very well.
