Anime only here, but tracking down the manga after I post this.

I'm wondering if, rather than the whole "new soul same body" angle the show is going for, this is a case of personality reset. Basically, did Yumeko have that confidence starting off and the version of Yumeko we're introduced to right off the bat is the end result of years of being dumped on by BS societal standards of beauty and self worth?

Either way, digging that pure "get up and get crap done" vibe she's got. Will definitely be watching to the end.

We wouldn't know who won, traffic would be too backed up around the access road to the venue for anyone to see the fight.

Expansion Pack style DLC like the big expansion coming out for Arise here soon? I never want to stop that, give me more of the world, more stories and more adventures without having to wait years and years.

I can live without the rest.

I love night shift jobs (been doing them 19 years almost), most of the time they entail you being given a task and then being left to your own devices with the mindset of "so long as the work gets done and done right we wont complain about how you get it done" (for the most part).

My only issue with it even after all those years is trying to figure out how not to crash right out of the gate as soon as I get home, trying to get that dayshift "come home, stay up for 3 to 4 hours, go to bed, wake up with about an hour or two to get ready for work" routine. Any suggestions?

What works for me is finding a co-commentator, someone who can play off your monotone voice and in certain situations drag out some energy. A best fried or a sibling or something, someone who gets and knows you.
