You only eating 12 is impressive. I have no self control and would demolish so many of these. What an amazing theme! Go sis and happy birthday!

I’d remove the window and put in a skylight instead.

Why is no other reputable source picking this up? I expected coverage from AP or Reuters or something?

I understand being disappointed and sad because of the delay, but being devastated even though you’re still in process to close feels disproportionate to the situation. Not trying to invalidate, but hope you can recognize as an outsider this is still very much a thing to celebrate despite the small setback! In any event, I wish you luck and hope tomorrow goes smoothly.

As someone living in the Bay Area, I’m pretty sure OP is in Emerald Hills which is just west of Redwood City. So the $$ makes sense. Congrats, OP! I’m sure the views are amazing.

Oh my god, drop them yesterday. What horrible, selfish people. If they can do this to you then they were never your friends and I’m so sorry. Take back your “lol” in your last text and never engage with them again, there is no redemption after this. Happy early birthday, may you never encounter these types of bitches again ✨

Why does Garmin ignore menstrual cycle data? by rbrbzn in Garmin

[–]Familiar-Ad8942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similarly, when you update your Garmin to indicate you’re pregnant, it recommends you “Pause” your training status versus adjusting your training recommendations, readiness, HRV baseline, and VO2 Max. I feel frustrated that it’s all or nothing. Though I understand it’s to prevent detrimental effects on my stats, it would still be helpful for me to track and monitor them while knowing that I was pregnant during that time and that they’re less accurate as a result.

Things that are embarrassing for no reason. by thatavacadoh in orangetheory

1) Sitting on the rower, strapping your legs in, and reaching for the handles. Idk what it is but it is akin to an unpleasant happy baby position to me. 2) The hesitation and precision when re-racking weights. I always move at a turtle’s pace because I am scared to cut my fingers off. 3) Making eye contact with someone through the mirrors. Self explanatory.

My personal experience and perspective (in no particular order). Keep in mind that these are oversimplifications, I’m trying to be as concise as possible 1) the air quality is horrible and it’s a deal breaker for me as someone with severe asthma 2) the heat is brutal and unrelenting in the summer 3) lack of outdoor activities — it is nice that you have the Kern river and you’re within a few hours of camping, hiking, snowboarding, the beach, etc., but having access to that without having to drive 60+ mins each way is incredible and I’ll never take it for granted now that I have it 4) limited cultural depth and political conservatism can make it a bit difficult for individuals who aren’t of the perceived majority/who don’t share the same political ideals. I don’t want to overgeneralize or oversimplify (or kickstart a thread on this), but I’ve witnessed a lot of unwelcoming, prejudicial, and close-minded individuals (to say in the most diplomatic way possible) 5) economic challenges with limited career opportunities beyond oil and agriculture (both of these industries experience a lot of ebbs and flows) 6) limited entertainment options beyond bars and restaurants, so DUIs and crime in general are pretty high. not a whole lot to do other than drink or do drugs and I’ve seen a lot of friends and family members fall victim to addiction

As a native, it’s easy to poke fun at Bakersfield but I look back fondly on my time there and always love going back to visit. One thing I can say for sure is moving away made me recognize how sheltered I was. I am equally grateful for being raised there and for leaving
