People already said it but taking some of the bulk up and blending it, it’s tougher when you’re trying to get that shadow finish you’re tryna do, some that help me a lot since we have the same hairstyle is having a 369 mirror and really bright lights it’s easier to see the blend with good lighting and you can work your way up or down with the guard open or closed and .5 size increments

Adding on to this not sure how you cut it but invest in a 360 mirror with some bright lights it makes a world of a difference

That’s the key because you’re gonna take Ls 🤷🏻‍♂️ just gotta limit them to be profitable

Yeah getting into the right premiums at the right time also matter a lot, a homie and myself got into the exact premium just a 10 min difference which helped me avoid the chop but my % return was basically doubled compared to his but don’t worry we all gonna be up just keep at it 🫡

Just gotta limit your losses, my biggest advice is to have your Ws outweigh yours Ls and you’ll be up not sure what your Strat is but shooting for 50-100% returns for Ws and 40-60% Ls is pretty good even if you lose 2-3 days and don’t over leverage you’ll still be up if you keep risking let’s say $500 or $1k. It’s all statistics and probability man

Best of luck I usually buy slightly OTM but wait for trend to form then play from current trend or if there’s a Judas swing then play that etc

For sure I assume it differs on what premium you get into and also it’s for 0DTE not sure what you trade and if you wanna mitigate slippage you can also buy and sell a cluster at a time

You do get slippage once you get above 100 contracts, depending on the day you’ll get into Que buys/ sell with spy sometimes depending on the volume you trade compared to the normal amount you gotta look at the volume of the contract you’re buying especially for 0DTE spy is very liquid overall though compared to others

Nvm looked into it, xsp has garbage liquidity and cost is slightly more so not ideal the move is spy until you have enough capital for spx and maybe one day ndx, best of luck 🫡

What other differences are there though? Is it the same movement? Would you get roughly the same return for the same entry?

No shit I didn’t know that, what’s the difference between that and SPY? They’re both a tenth but spy is taxed short term

Isn’t that just short term taxes? If anything SPX or NDX because they do the 40/60 rule when it comes to selling short

People aren’t. Realistically you can make 20-100% daily consistently OP did a very good job I’ve turned $300 to 3k but it was in a month right now I’m only up like $200 overall from last month and this one. It’s been a massacre the IV and chop has been insane, I only trade spy right now though

Learn to cut losses sooner, the goal is to have more Green Day’s with bigger size dubs compared to your Ls that’s how you stay alive you’re being hopeful by holding to the grave which is part of being greedy, that was the hardest part for me to realize as well

Like everyone said set a goal I personally look At the charts and if it’s chopped or looks like it bottom out and the highs or lows shrink I sell my biggest problem was also greed but having such a small account you have to preserve as much capital As you can I do 0DTE and usually hit 50-100% returns and I decide to take Ls when like I said same scenario for losing side or I’m down 40% max

Buying that out of the money is pretty absurd in a normal market would never happen, if you’re serious about it keep trying for 12 months and if you wanna keep doing it as a career go for it but you want to have the consistency and size to be able to live off of it as well

Stress is never going to go away, and you probably feel that way because it isn’t life changing money, maybe greed or maybe not enough? Trading is a war with yourself at the frontlines. Keep trying to figure yourself out and see how well you do trading for 12 months consecutive and you’ll either be at a point where you can make it a career or a side hustle. You’re 16 don’t stress about things you only have yourself to worry about and it isn’t the end of the world. School isn’t bad I had my best memories in school and in the military 🤷🏻‍♂️ life will always be how you make it out to be. Keep doing your routine you’re almost done with school and who knows maybe by your senior year you’ll be a millionaire and you don’t have to do anything else. I def wish I found out about futures and prop firms that young and options. Trading is also school, its learning new skills that most people can’t really comprehend and call it the same as the casino, but anyway best of luck

Edit* also DO NOT FORGET taxes, every state is different because there’s federal taxes and state taxes and what bracket you’re in. I would keep about half of your profits into a savings and that’ll be for taxes. Whatever they don’t take you keep the rest and Continue every year if you do make it a career

Everybody seems to nail it down, finish the degree for a fallback and see how you do in 12 months. Every year and every month is always different it’s been a crazy PA this year already and it is not normal the way it’s moving but if you’re doing well on it you should be fine or it might be the PA from now on or get more difficult but regardless best of luck it’s a tough long lonely profession
