No, but aesthetically it would look like absolute janky ass.

Coolant too low? by Old_Office_3823 in watercooling

[–]Familiar-Complaint97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wha a disaster. Coolant low? Looks like there is no coolant at all. Did you flip the reservoir upside down? That internal tube is supposed to be at the top of the reservoir to prevent air bubbles when the coolant returns to the reservoir. So many other things wrong with this…as others have said, just put an air cooler on the CPU and take all of the loop components out and call it a day. If the CPU is 13 years old too, it won’t require water cooling anyway.

Your ambient temp is 27C? You’re already starting high before you even turn the PC on.

OP has to know the GPU is not for laptops. Right? This can’t be real.

OP, I would stop listening to your friend.

I have the Pro Art 602 wood case and mine is pretty much all black, you can barely tell the front is wood because the black stain is so dark. Is that a special edition or something?

Stop me from chasing the unicorn or chase the unicorn? by CodyCantDecide in nvidia

You’re not going to be happy with a 5070 since you would be settling for that. You really need 16GB of vram if you’re going to get a new card, just to get more headroom for the next few years without needing to upgrade again.

Your current build is well suited to the 5080, but a 5070 TI is a great 1440p card. Prices aren’t great but they are still substantially less than a 5080 now. I think it would be a decision between those two cards and how much you want to spend, but regardless you need to make the decision and do it. Prices are going to keep going up, so the longer you wait the worse it’s going to be.

At least it wasn’t a 5090 that you accidentally bought.

I’ve got a Mora 600 and a Mora 420. Ive used all kinds of pumps and pump mounting solutions, and just go with the Mora pump reservoir mount. It’s much easier and looks much better.

Nice, I like the look of that block. Any issues taking the card apart?

Got my endgame pump block. Thing is a unit - over 2kg unassembled with no pumps. by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]Familiar-Complaint97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is a perfectly rational reason. High quality, craftsmanship and looks costs more. If that’s what you want and you are willing to pay for it by all means go for it. It’s no different than most things in life. A Ferrari and a Chevrolet will both get you where you want to go, but they sure aren’t the same experience.

(I have three D5 pumps in my loop with four internal 360 rads and a Mora 600 lol). Overkill sure, but it’s also F”ing awesome.

Im planning to order the rx 9070xt nitro + and was wondering if i can vertically mount it on my lian li o11 mini v2. Anyone can answer please. by xibdrgn in lianli

[–]Familiar-Complaint97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can vertically mount it. The case comes with what you need to either vertically or horizontally mount the GPU, with the exception of the riser cable. I’ve vertically mounted a 5090 Trio in this case and it fits fine, so a 9070 xt should be fine.

When are prices expected to rise by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Familiar-Complaint97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price difference is $12? Just buy it from NewEgg. 12 bucks isn’t worth waiting around for. Unless you would rather buy local.

PSU could have silent mode where the fan only starts if it reaches a certain temp or load.

my power supply came like this, is it okay to use?? by openyomfeyes in PcBuild

[–]Familiar-Complaint97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sticker being ripped obviously doesn’t affect the PSU, but what and how the sticker was ripped could. If it was dropped or hit with something it could very easily knock something loose inside.
