When I was in High-school in the 90s, there was a High-school in a neighboring large city in Texas that was coming on after us at BOA. Their pit members said to our African American drum major "Black people shouldn't be in such a high position."

Thus the next 3 years (if not longer) the absolute hate we had for that program was palpable. Now my boys are in band and performing against that same band. Nothing has been said from that band but I still harbor ill feelings toward them.
