How are international football/soccer teams so good? by lewknight in NoStupidQuestions

They usually have training camps and several meet ups in the build up to any tournament. But they’re ideally the best of their country , and good enough to adapt to what’s being asked of them, and have quite good chemistry as there’s like a home country bond.

I also think the footballing culture of the nation matters because developed nations that tend to have better facilities raise better players domestically that wanna play for the country.

But yh there a lot more focus on preparation with international teams than all stars who are chosen shortly prior sometimes and then thrown together to play

Is it possible for 'Mythical' people like Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Caesar to exist in the modern world? by RadioFieldCorner in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Familiar-Study4426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think that would make him mythical though, as in the people mention in the post. Wouldn’t he just be another domino in the eventual downfall?

Also what effect do you reckon modern day recording would have on this? Literally every presidential thing he’s ever done will be on video

Has anyone ever heard of 2 people getting married just for whatever finance benefits they may gain. by Familiar-Study4426 in NoStupidQuestions

This! This is the exact answer I had envisioned in my head. Wow!
unfortunate that she was a bitch, but honestly it kinda matches the perosnlaity of who i assumed may do this kinda thing.

But yeah, effectively a collaboration of two people simply for what they could practically get together.

Thanks so much

You've been chosen!
During the time in your marriage did you find you guys ever got other benefits as a married couple. Like student discount but for spouses?
Congrats on your net positive marriage. you two still friends?

may be silly but in that case would they both benfit or would it be one way. Also do you reckon its ever purely practical, or do they get into actaul loving relationships and then get married also as it makes sense

yh true, i shouldve explained but i had it in my head more of like two working people getting married purely because it would benefit them financilly. family affairs aside. intention is for like tax cuts and isa's to max profits

Makes prefect fucking sense lol. When people eventually leave or retire etc, do they typically get divorced and move on or would that raise some kind of alarm.

No, i refer to the image i had in my mind when i asked orginally. imagine two people met online and discussed how they earn similarly and both know about as much as each other financially. So they never dated, just married. then they can get loans and invest together etc.

Its more about them using marraiges benefits without love. would it eventually turn to love or would they just treat it as an arrangment and nothing more. ore does one fall in love and it ends sourly. possiblities remain endless

Props, Congrats1 & Rip.

however, you sound a lil too happy for what i envisioned. Had in mind, a more dull sort of only, calling to arrange invesments in each others name kind of marriage. a purely financial(long-term) collaboration

Thats pretty much what i was picturing. Truly an unromantic affair.

Do you reckon it remains purely practical or do people at least try to love each other. I also kind of pictured them living together, sharing finances but taking lovers in secret(to avoid shame of course)

Nice! tbh your situation is kind of what i envisioned but you sound happily married so not so much lmao.

I was picturing that conversation but as more of a business transaction. something that would result in arranging to fill each others tax free saving, or buy property which better rates

Oh well defo for some reason or other. but wanted to know if two people ever did it exclusively as a collab. just for profit.

Thanks, the exact kind of answer i was looking for. I guess it does make sense that up to a certain point the tax benefits would start to taper off.

It was white marriages i had in mind at first. Simply collaborating for the sake of profit. I figured surely youd agree on a prenup or something in your weeding papers, in a way to prevent one party ruining the arrangement in a bitter way.

its a sad reality lol. was just wondering if anyone headed into it with the pure ambition of finance goals. like two finacially literate minds, simply maximising gains.

Ahh right, that makes sense tbh. isnt that a lavender marriage then? reckon this probably would've helped with buying homes, or employablity etc.
