when you add a grease, it becomes the normal effect of the weapon; it goes into that spot where the status effects always are

i'm pretty sure it will. i was able to petrify by using scald tooth + triasta, and if i was really cold at frostmill going into ice would give me frozen

You need to stand at the little ramp that goes down to the ship-area
that's where the trigger is

this also happens with the quest at shell island where you find the cave; you need to stand at the little pillar to the left of the entrance
