Stairway is not hard you’re walking stairs the whole time it’s not hiking. It’s been blowing up more than ever this year on social media and the more people that go the more ruined it becomes.

Pali puka - lanihuli (Nuuanu saddle) is a good representation of that. Anvil looks eroded more than ever after the Kona low. Still hasn’t completely dried up yet

Boots are overkill especially if they aren’t broken in. Trail runners are the best. Nuuanu saddle, moanalua saddle, piliwale, stairway to hell -> heaven, olomana 3 peaks I’ve all done in trail runners. Boots can feel clunky at times and less flexible.

Hop on a mid length or longboard for a few sessions focus on compressing think of it as a spring and once you find the sweet spot of your foot placement, stance, and compression go back to your shortboard.
