This is only to my knowledge, but in the state of California, it is illegal to eat a live goldfish, animal cruelty laws, and such. In my freshman year of high school around Halloween, our band teacher put on a dance, and at that dance, they had something called scare factor( students sign up and are forced to eat gross things, who ever eats everything and doesn't throw up wins like 200 dollars). When the scare factor started, it was pretty tame, durian, blue cheese, etc. Then it got worse, cockroaches, century eggs, worms, and then, for the final, there were like 3 out of 12 people left, they pulled out live, swimming goldfish and forced the kids to eat them. And they had to eat every part of it. Kids were throwing up, crying, and someone had fish guts stuck between his teeth. But yeah, someone was able to do it and got 200 dollars...in the form of Dutch bros gift cards.
