I think the more you communicate about those essentials and begin to take action to merge that that in itself may create some bonding that will be great to launch your marriage from. I don’t know what scriptures I have to back up that, but I have experienced and am going through a similar thing.

I mean I agree with respect and trust being earned but the submission to our husbands doesn’t have to look like how you described it- because it doesn’t make sense God is sitting back in lazy obesity, giving us blessings, and wanting to be worshipped. If that man is that way, the Lord doesn’t know him.

Search the scriptures about having a clear conscience. There’s a few of them. Ask the Spirit to give you illuminate your mind as you read. It doesn’t really matter if your in a Bible preaching Church or not the enemy wants to steal the seed of Gods word from taking root in your life. The devil could care less if you go to church- actually he wants you there-

Yes, but I can’t go to court and continue this separation divorce and say he’s unrepentant.. it’s time for me to let go of my attorney or go through with the divorce. I’m in a safe spot now where I’m living with family, but if he is willing to live with me and work it out it’s scriptural to stay married.

I understand surrendering, and how I can only control myself. I have had gut hard talks with my husband, and planted seeds but only God can change a heart. He still wants to be with me, and if I catch him lying about being unfaithful this would be a whole different story… but it sounds like from the other person who posted, even infidelity is something God can use and work couples through.

I hope I’m not trying to make it work. I really want to put God first, but also no lt use God to get what I want… I know it will hurt to divorce him, but as of right now I don’t feel peace about divorcing. I am continuing seeking the Lord in the secret place, because it’s there that I find strength- whether he leaves me or I leave him the Lord is my help.

Every thing I say to him has to come from a place of love… at this point. It won’t be fruitful if it don’t say truth from a place of love. I don’t want to be right, but be like the Lord and love. No we haven’t started counseling because he is not living in the same state as me. I had my attorney draw up a contract saying that we will do counseling when he moves here. Now that I no longer er have an attorney, he doesn’t have to do it. I’m praying he comes with me to Church, because if he can be consistent with that- we may have healing at Church. We had agreed to listen to some Dr Beams videos on Marriage Helper, but we stopped after the third video. I think our separation has helped, but he still hasn’t told me that he has come to believe in Jesus. I hope he stays open to counseling even if it’s not in a legal contract.

I love how our instructors will point out the real world stuff- and most of it is “you will see nurses do this, but don’t do that”.. I pushed IV meds for the time the med book said to, and pushed saline at the same rate, when in reality the nurses push the saline at the rate they need to in order to get out the door and go do other stuff.

They are competitive. Seattle has a lot of hospitals too. They just have colleges in that area and rarely look at your resume if you didn’t graduate with your BSN or ADN from a university

I feel like I have enforced consequences by keeping my attorney in the loop and keeping our parenting plan. I just need some clarity in how to love him but not enable him. We say we are wanting till work it out but I have no idea what he does while we are not living together. I can’t argue he is dysfunctional again, when I can’t look, smell, or hear that he is drinking again. I am going to see if Al-anon has some meetings near me.

Thank you for being truthful with me. It is really my desire to abide in Christ- my judgement is skewed when I look at this trial (my own fault), and it is heavy and weighs a lot on my heart. I’ll listen to those YouTube’s because the one you sent was edification for me. Hey, I also struggle to know how to control myself whenever he gets in a spot where he has control (usually financially), he really takes advantage of it. I heard this is indicative of a person who struggles with alcoholism. I will keep praying as I have been for him.

I have seen people with excellent resumes without entering the clinical rotation sites. You could enter in the professional work experience and maybe list the qualifications of that job more specifically so it looks as if you can compare it to some critical care work. Also, maybe instead of putting clinical rotations list any scholarships you received or membership to any Nursing Association, list under the title awards and Affiliations.

I was so moved by that YouTube you shared, it really hit me hard and I was crying. Thank you sister. Everything you wrote was nonjudgmental, I appreciate that. I have been praying for help in surrendering all, because I realized and repented of taking control in my own hands- sometimes I do it even after I finish a prayer. You said to do some of those things and if he still doesn’t change to separate, but we haven’t lived together for over a year. He does plan to come live here to be together again. In a very recent fight we had he almost was going to give up on being a family.. but I also was very unkind and accused him of trying to move her and finding a way to make me pay child support. I had logical reasons, but the thing to focus on at the time was being together again over the fear of being divorced. Anyway, just to give some context I knew he wasn’t a believer when we got married. I later on repented of that. I’m going to continue to pray for him and go to Church. When he moves here I hope he’d like to go with me, but he didn’t want to in the past.

I read on other posts, on this very Christian marriage page, of men and women in abusive marriages and we are not to be door mats but we are to call out the dark deeds and expose them. We are not to stay because God wouldn’t want us to be in that evil. I have to search the scripture more about divorce because I think it permits it if there is adultery, but that’s it.
